Have several QD FY PB 2 to 4. They all feel similar. Good geomoetry and bounce for fast pace. But they are not roomy. If you are a 4E, then better test out the size first, else it may be on a little tight fit.
thanks for this, am very particular about width, have had bad experience with ill-fitting

Can try out Li NIng Fei Dian 5 Challenger or the 5 Elite (racing shoes). I have the Fei Dian 4 Challenger which I find is very roomy. Don't know if the latest 5 series of Fei Dian will follow this trend or not. Go to their boutique shop and try. Very cheap on PDD or Taobao.

what's the mileage you get out of your shoes ?

for now am looking to get a sturdy workhorse pair for my almost daily training/exercise runs

admittedly I tend to overuse my shoes... my current pair have seen over 1500km of pavement and treadmill

I have too many to rotate, usually by 600km most of my shoes the foam would be dead, out sole worn off or simply become crocodile.
With China shoes so cheap during sales I don't think you should rely heavily on one pairs shoes. Rotate at least 3 pairs.

The shop at Parkway only had Qiaodan's latest Feiying. Heng moi try first, couldn't even get my foot into a US11 shoe... :s22:
Plaid 2?

I sized up half size. When first testing, even with a shoehorn and other hand pulling at the heel tab. Struggle very hard to enter. Like a virgin. 😄

The upper is those sock like type. Had to loosen the laces all the way before can squeeze in. Damn pek chek.

Surprisingly second day, with shoe horn just slot in easily. Wah so fast loosen!

On third or forth run, the upper felt slightly looser to the extent I felt no need to size up.

Have to say the upper material is very flexible.

Feiying PB 5.0. Quite disappointed that the shop didn't carry any other variants.

Will be going to China very soon, so will go rrss at the malls after work or on weekends

Even 2E width is usually no go for me, so its a real struggle shoe-shopping :s22:

Oh different shoe. 😃

Maybe can try Anta PG7. It is by default 2E.

Alternatives might be 2E options from Asics and NB. Size up half to one size.

Or NB 4E but lesser choices there.

The FeiYing pb series not for your 4E width. I wear D size already don't find them roomy for PB 2, 3 and 4.
I find Li Ning Feidian 4C may be suitable for 2E. So you got to test if your feet can fit.
I haven't seen any China shoes that make 2E or 4E variant. So unlikely you will find it in China Qiaodan stores. Your size is really difficult to find.

Getting comfortably under 9 hrs (8:49) is kan fast for a non full timer.

I posted the Qatar Airways Hamburg one for Women last Sunday. Kat Matthews was in there, 8:05. (she did T100 Singapore last year also)

Aaroniseverything also fast fella, actually his run leg was faster than Ben. He mentioned he biked too conservatively, his vlog got scenes where he was like just enjoying himself easy ride and laughing one. 🤣 And of coz his swimming also not strong discipline.

See how he does for Desaru 70.3.....he is getting siaolang fast .

what pace are you running at? My PB3.0 feels and runs fantastic below 6min/km. However i do not really enjoy it below 7min/km pace as it will no longer feels responsive but dull. Perhaps those with PB5.0 can share more.
If you are running at slower paces, you can widen your choices to other Qiaodan selections.

IMG20250604081047.jpg

first run in the PEAK匹克 千层浪, a plateless daily trainer.
Attempted a zone 2 run this morning at approx. 23degC, but failed to control HR desired range.
Feet comfort within shoes is good, plenty of room. I normally wear 40.5, this pair is 40 and my toes still feel roomy. Heels are well locked.
A dual density midsole, with the upper (silver) adopting a softer tuning with firmness at 42+/- (density: ≤0.13g/cm3), while the thicker base (off white) is firmer at 50+/- (density: ≤0.15g/cm3).
Ran at a pace between 7-7:45min/km for some 6.5km and it felt dull, in fact my right knee feels some form of discomfort, while left leg feels normal. However, when i picked up the pace in the last 500m, it feels pretty good. Initial reaction is that perhaps they can tune the firmness to a slightly softer feel.
Gotta run more and see if the firmness in the lower midsole will break in to give a more balanced feedback.
Damage: RMB 350 direct from PEAK official TB store.

Ben says he now training for sprints for sea games. BTW I think Desaru 70.3 over alr. One of my friends finished in 5:30, qualified for world 70.3 championships.

PB 5.0 is more suited at 4+ min/km or even sub 4 min/km pace. I feel that's where the shoe shine the most.

Recently got Evo SL and that has been my go to shoe for long runs. PB 5.0 will be more for my threshold/tempo/intervals run or even my racing shoe.

yah, but not everyone can last more than 1km below 5min/km :ROFLMAO:
if you are enjoying PB5.0, you may want to try PB3.0 which is tuned to be more aggressive and faster rebound effect in the midsole.

~7min/km outside, 6min/km on treadmill, hardly ever push myself :s13:

I do not race at all, so shoes like the Qiaodan PB could be overkill for my needs

Thanks bros, will take note of Anta PG 7 and Li Ning Feidian 4C when I go shoe-shopping in PRC soon
