Alternatives might be 2E options from Asics and NB. Size up half to one size.

Or NB 4E but lesser choices there.

I do not race at all, so shoes like the Qiaodan PB could be overkill for my needs

indeed, which is why my main focus is primarily on affordable non-plated ones. Heart not so painful to spend RMB350 or less to test them out. That's why Qiaodan Qiangfeng 3TR looks so attractive at less than RMB200. But i am open to get a good plated version that is not too aggressive, eg. BMAI JingTan 3.0Turbo

My QD strong wind 3TR order for less than 200 yuan inclusive of GST and a free shipping to Singapore. Less than sgd 38..

China too many shoes to try already and at a relatively cheap cost. Put it into perspective, my next pair that I want to get is adios pro 4 but you can one PB 5.0,one plaid 2,one flame 4 and one red Hare 8 pro haha.

I will eventually be not owning any western brand shoes. With Li Ning and QD coming out with decent daily trainer now (Red Har 8 pro, Strong wind 3 TR,) and Max cushion shoes for recovery (361 Eleos, Li Ning Yue Ying pro), China has almost all market covered.

I have several past season western branded carbon plated shoes, which rather under used. I have been using my QD PB Feiying PB series all the time when I do Threshold or Progressive run. They are more fun to run in.

The only western brand I looking to get will only be Nike Vaporfly. As this is the only brand that occasionally drop to the around $150 ath the outlet stores. But really the 361 flame 4 is every bit as good in term of return energy. Very impress with this flame 4.
