~7min/km outside, 6min/km on treadmill, hardly ever push myself :s13:

I do not race at all, so shoes like the Qiaodan PB could be overkill for my needs

Thanks bros, will take note of Anta PG 7 and Li Ning Feidian 4C when I go shoe-shopping in PRC soon
Besides the above, you may want to try the following when you are in China:
1) LINING李宁 赤兔8 Pro: if too firm for your liking, can try 7pro or 6pro
2) XTEP特步 两千公里 v3
3) 361 Spire Centauri
4) QIAODAN乔丹 强风3TR (now less than RMB200)
5) QIAODAN乔丹 领航600
6) ANTA安踏 柏油路霸2 & 3

If you don't mind an affordable supershoe (now can be purchased at less than RMB600) that feels light (less than 200g for size 40.5), super natural feel yet without feeling aggressive, you can also try BMAI必迈 惊碳3.0Turbo. Or a matter of fact, other selections from BMAI必迈.

IMG20250604081047.jpg

first run in the PEAK匹克 千层浪, a plateless daily trainer.
Attempted a zone 2 run this morning at approx. 23degC, but failed to control HR desired range.
Feet comfort within shoes is good, plenty of room. I normally wear 40.5, this pair is 40 and my toes still feel roomy. Heels are well locked.
A dual density midsole, with the upper (silver) adopting a softer tuning with firmness at 42+/- (density: <0.13g/cm3), while the thicker base (off white) is firmer at 50+/- (density: <0.15g/cm3).
Ran at a pace between 7-7:45min/km for some 6.5km and it felt dull, in fact my right knee feels some form of discomfort, while left leg feels normal. However, when i picked up the pace in the last 500m, it feels pretty good. Initial reaction is that perhaps they can tune the firmness to a slightly softer feel.
Gotta run more and see if the firmness in the lower midsole will break in to give a more balanced feedback.
Damage: RMB 350 direct from PEAK official TB store.
Appreciate your review. 👍

So it's on the firmer side? How would you compare the firm/soft to Jingtan 3 Turbo?

Hoping Qiaodan make a Plaid 1 复刻版.

I saw they made the PB3 and also PB1. Getting trendy for remakes haha.

Plaid 2?

I sized up half size. When first testing, even with a shoehorn and other hand pulling at the heel tab. Struggle very hard to enter. Like a virgin. 😄

The upper is those sock like type. Had to loosen the laces all the way before can squeeze in. Damn pek chek.

Surprisingly second day, with shoe horn just slot in easily. Wah so fast loosen!

On third or forth run, the upper felt slightly looser to the extent I felt no need to size up.

Have to say the upper material is very flexible.
Plaid 2 white/silver is now available! To me this is the nicest colorway. RMB719. Fast supershoe at this price. :p

Ben says he now training for sprints for sea games. BTW I think Desaru 70.3 over alr. One of my friends finished in 5:30, qualified for world 70.3 championships.

his one is what 113 International Triathlon Desaru, on 6th July i think. Not the Desaru coast one.

Anyway even the normal duathlon race is like 7.30am flat off. (T100 is just before 6am for the older folks standard duathnon distance, around 5am for long duathlon)
Is chao tar race......and for me i think is rather dangerous also.
That means you finish like nearly 10am and that is considering you are fast enough, if slower is 11am.
If tourist pace just aiming to finish is 12 noon then much lower risks of heat.

Ya saw that. Damn sleek! But I don't enjoy how it runs.

Hmm can consider as casual shoes. 😄

BMAI Jingtan 3.0Turbo totally different feel. 3.0T feels less punishing to my legs, especially to me right knee. To me, 3.0T is one of the most natural feeling running shoes (based on all the shoes I have tried). Everything feels just about right for me, not too aggressive, very much an extension of my body. Cruise along feels good, push hard and run fast also feels good.

the midsoles of this 千层浪 does not feel responsive until you push the pace, unlike 3.0T, which even at low paces, there is a slight push off and the best part it is very smooth.

And anyway i am not that hardcore a person into sports, these events really in bird no lay eggs location...also coz much much lower levels of participation. Same goes for VN, PH. Not like those (nternational) marathons that our folks here go for in Indonesia, VN etc.

Like Jasper Tan just went Johor to hoot, cycled until wanna like regret and give up halfway like that. Just same thing over and over and over again. And there was heat exhaustion (needed to rest), for normal pax without proper heat training is actually cannot lah.
Normal sportsman would really wonder why the F am i doing here.

Indeed same thoughts.

Think I will stick to Jingtan 3 turbo. Enjoy what works instead of trying everything new out there. 😃

China too many shoes to try already and at a relatively cheap cost. Put it into perspective, my next pair that I want to get is adios pro 4 but you can one PB 5.0,one plaid 2,one flame 4 and one red Hare 8 pro haha.

indeed, which is why my main focus is primarily on affordable non-plated ones. Heart not so painful to spend RMB350 or less to test them out. That's why Qiaodan Qiangfeng 3TR looks so attractive at less than RMB200. But i am open to get a good plated version that is not too aggressive, eg. BMAI JingTan 3.0Turbo
