I like boa system coz very convenient to tighten or loosen the shoes. I found some DIY imitations that are very cheap on shopee. It is still using wires but the instructions given are to pass through the eyelets of the shoes. Is it reliable and will it damage my shoes? Or should I just get a new pair of shoes with boa instead?

Next best thing....for triathlons/duathlons. Wont damage.

anyone of u like to do calisthenics after a short 5km run at the park?

Most times i do dips and negative pull ups but lately not even running much, as in workout type runs.
But i am very consistent with my strength training with bands in office/home. Assisted pistol squats (3 rep), L sit, single leg half squat w multiple mini bands (~ 25kg resistance), decline push ups wide/diamond/normal with bands, some plyo with pogo jumps, resistance band calf raises, tib raises, hamstring curls with bands, weighted rope skipping etc, Lat pulldowns with bands. All banded work, coz no $$$ go gym.

L sit, push ups more for core. (I dont like to plank). To aid running / cycling.

Dont know why but difficult to develop the balancing skills. Flexibility also limited.
But i am not susprised, since NSF and NSmen, i forever failed standing broad jump, last time NAPFA during my teens, sit n reach also failed until cannot fail. I only scraped SBJ and NAPFA sit n reach through via "cheating".

Only after i ROD a few years then they changed to current 3 station format for IPPT. heh

8:40 timing @ 2:53 pace for 3k, damn fast for JC grade 18 yr old xmm.
Totally smoked the rest of the field until the rest could not be seen in the camera.

Equivalent to 2.4k (shorter distance same pace) of 6:55
Absolutely no doubt if she comes to run our Pocali sweat 2.4, she'd smash our 2.4k male record.

Finished my race. Got so lost in the swim, kayakers tapped me to say course is way over that way. Overall quite ok for first open water swim in 15 years. Felt my runs were good though I cramped up while sprinting last 50m. Got overall 11th

Great job man. 👍

I'd need a float for swimming. 😄

lol thanks! Open water swim compared to pool is no joke. @WussRedXLi not into bike leh. Occasionally, I just ride the hello ride or Anywheel bikes. Don’t think I will ever be into cycling competitively lol

Yeah.....it is always the OWS that is the biggest barrier, followed by bike.

Biking needs skills, and courage/balls if ridden competitively.
If ridden on the roads, best to have very mature mindset and defensive experienced driving skills as well.
As a driver (not driving licence holder + get go/bluesg), i know why drivers hate some cyclists.

Knees were wobbling coz insufficient strength / power / over critical power / whatever.

xllms, too bad a bit far, actually it occurred to me it might be a good way to cross train as well. Esp if wear gloves so can use a bit of upper body for full workout.

If can hit Z2 power/HR for this at a decent pace, the whole GWC is your oyster liao.

Congrats!

Btw is that the structure for trifactor run? Run half first and then another half after swim?
