Actually got a somewhat interesting challenge for those who are interested. Is a good test for aerobic fitness.

Dont care you use what bike and what cassette/chainring.......
So you can go dead slow 5kmh if you want, or zig zag up the road if you want. But legs cannot touch the floor, 1 continuous climb.

Try to climb Mount Faber from bottom to the top vending machine/toilet area in Zone 2. (y)
(or Serapong also quite power)

My favourite running tee is actually Uniqlo airism mesh material type . Out of stock for quite some time already .
I don't understand why some people choose to jog with cotton material . Especially a few still wearing the saf admin tee.
Didn't know airism got mesh type. Let's update here when any of us found it. Thanks

Wakao... Never tried before zone 2 to climb Mt faber steep side.

For serapong zone 2 I think quite dangerous for 2 reasons.

1. Balancing skills must be good. Even I can track stand (a bit) will find it hard, can't imagine for those who need the momentum.

2. It is a restricted place, only for authorised vehicle. You go slow will have higher chance getting caught or unsafe when there's a vehicle.

Just this morning i saw 4, 2 of which quite chio + heavy bouncing front end. One was not wearing pants but rather spandex underwear type of shorts with nice 1/4 butt cheeks showing. (y)
Surprised you didn't fall down again

Anyone monitoring their HRV ?

Ever encountered a couple of months (3-4 months) of low HRV then recovered ?

I ever encountered during covid or fever. Usually a few weeks of low HRV only. Never months.

wow just used qiaodan strong wind 3 (with nylon plate) for 1 slow run (9min/km) and 1 medium pace run (6.30min/km). indeed not suitable for slower pace. very stiff and it's like wearing sandals to jog.
I never wear qiaodan shoe before but not sure how much mileage u have put in. Some of the running shoes I ran required the need to break in . My adios pro 3 and superblast required at least 80km . However My old saucony endorphins speed 3 which also has small nylon plate no need break in. Feel good the moment for the 1st run.

Airism for me doesn’t feel nice, recently I found this brand “Krane隺”, like the material on the back for super hot summer. Anyone interested can consider.

Airism got 2 type . The common one and the mesh. The mesh one work well for me..

Wah thanks for recommendation!

Ever since Airism mesh got discontinued, I have been trying to find alternatives for casual wear.

This Krane brand looks good.

I also have another brand - Gofind.

Their ad said the fabric material is from Toray which if I recall correctly, also made Airism for Uniqlo.

For our hot humid weather, really feels quite like Airism mesh. Not 100% but close.

Way better than all the ice cool material on Taobao.

Only con is the sporty look. So if wear for casual, abit not here not there.

These below from Qiaodan are also cooling but they are definitely sporty and not Airism Mesh like.

this gofind material looks similar to the one from bmai which i had previously recommended as a cheap option in summer condition. material is thin, breathable, price is cheap but not soft and gentle enough to the body which may lead to abrasion. Prefer the softer and better material options from other brands, eg. Qinkung. but price more than double.

those cheap price icecool material, i don't. bought before, wore a few times gave up. not breathable and feels sticky to the body.

Yeah that one not long......but one certain portion i think first 1/3rd or so the transient gradient quite power (IIRC transient peaking ~ 20% even) , if insufficient strength/power then would need to dismount. And you know after dismounting it's damn hard to mount again unless go downhill to gain momentum and then turn back up.......but that place is bloody narrow so cant do that.
ie once feet on the ground, it's basically game over. 🤣

My kid still yet to conquer this.......my fnhon 451 foldie for him has 58T front and 46T biggest rear cog, but his strength and cardio still not enough.

Wakao... Never tried before zone 2 to climb Mt faber steep side.
Can try as a challenge..... the max i have intervaled there is 4-5X. Usually 2X just for fun, sometimes once as part of the session plus pepys, SBV, rolling Sentosa (including Serapong). I might try double that next time during a training session. Or maybe try hit 10.
i think got a few middle aged cyclists scared and find it a challenge to go up. Shd be cardio/strength limited. Even got "biomechanical" classes based on this.
ie $$$$ income opportunity, but ok lah......as long as the end user happy and find it useful for their health journey ok la. Same as paying for running coached or online/AI training plans.
But for us with some decent background, we tend to try to DIY mix n match and just youtube it and then mimic/train. More fun also..... it's the journey.

Coz of running and esp racewalking during COVID time, for me i dont have a pace issue or maintaining easy / Z2 pace. Quite in-tune when there is lactate produced. Part of it is actually being disciplined/"ego" management.

Ya those cheap icecool really CMI. Not gonna waste time on them anymore.

This Gofind is smooth and cool, not scratchy even though there's mesh. Not smelly after sweating also. Can give it a try.

I also bought the cheapest 马孔多. About $15. Somewhat scratchy and smells after sweat. Not worth it imo.

Wanted to get bmai the previous round but size or color ran out of stock.

Next round I will get bmai, Qinkung and Krane.

So many to buy. :s13:
