this reminds me of a imitation NB 1080v13 which I bought recently for walking purposes. Damn, they are really good and comfortable. Can't tell they are not real to be honest. 😂

I really like the design of the new New balances.

A number of them are just mind tricks. There are studies that placebo can make a difference.

Day 1 of the Hakone has a interesting 1st place. The 2nd runner from Aoyama Gakuin University took their team from 9th place to the 2nd place. And their 3rd runner took their team to the lead. 4th and 5th runner just maintain their position. 1st runner is the weakest link.

https://english.kyodonews.net/news/...niv-takes-tokyo-hakone-ekiden-day-1-lead.html

Aoyama Gakuin's second runner, Asahi Kuroda, brought his school from ninth place to second before his teammate Aoi Ota overtook Komazawa's Keita Sato in the 21.4-kilometer third leg.

Aoyama Gakuin's fourth and fifth runners each stretched the team's lead over Komazawa.

This is a popular and funny cardiologist, he talks about placebo and the real effects it has on people in medical. Endurance running is also about mental training apart from the physical training. So mental mindgame is important. Of course lies the danger of not listening ot your body.

Sometimes, your mental aspect tries too much to overcome your physical aspect then injuries occur. I actually tahan plantar for a long time before the pain was really too unbearable at sundown

That's the affliction of those who are into long distance running. I think most of us tends to have a higher tolerance for physical 'pain' or suffering and hence sport of choice is long distance running. ALmost toxic for some to be abit of addiction amd detrimental for our injuries. After suffering a race, we will come back for more. Something alot of folks asked why we are so kum gong to pay to suffer.

SO have you recovered from you PF since you have more time to recover.

Congrats @WussRedXLi , his non pb also lightyears ahead of us haha

Not lightyears lah....but i noticed one thing abt all these time trials, is just like IPPT ba. Sometimes you run it could be say 11 mins, but suddenly 1 time you can hit 10.30 or even 10 mins flat. It's prob like that if the chance/frequency to try is not there. Think the more you try, the more chance can get......due to more pacing + experience and as i said sometimes is a matter of luck also.

Of coz wont turn a 25 min runner into a 20 min runner overnight with just trying 5-10 more TTs, but 25 min it can easily shave off 1 min just by luck/experience alone, possibly close to mins also quite possible, no issue i think.
1 min 5k is just like 30 seconds for 2.4, i think most would agree 30 seconds plus minus diff in 2.4 is "nothing".
