what timing did you get for the marathon?

i think for HM if can complete within 3 hours, the sun shouldn't have rise yet right? hahaha asking for myself.
wah i find morning training very difficult to do because i have to tend to my boy.
That years, think was 4:36. But the weather was good, cloudy after rain. Now I remember, should be 2022, not 2021.

Actually I asked this to SRY during my video consult. He says it is a myth that running in the rain makes people sick as actually running will increase your body temp. He says it is after exercising in the rain, you do not shower that causes one to fall sick.
I think it's adaptation. Starting might fall sick for those body haven't adapt yet.

But I don't recall ever getting sick from running in the rain in the beginning of my running journey.

It’s not just the falling sick part but the running shoes if always touch rain water will never smell the same again no matter how you wash and dry.

don't worry you have company.
start with baby steps, walking, then increase distance then increase pace. commit to consistency, soon you will be back to where you were.

jialat leh. last night when i was doing my 30mins economy run.
my left knee started to hurt (i think its ITBS) when i tried to increase my cadence from 160 to 170.

i thought an increased cadence is suppose to be good for the knee?

It is good to do strength training as well. Did you do proper dynamic stretching before the run?

You can add injury in the TrainAsOne. Inside the injury setting , you can decide if you want the AI to prescribe speed session, and also limit the pace. Just remeber to clear the injury once you have recovered, or else the AI forever gives you reduce workout.

I am currently on injury mode training for my quads since SCSM. No threshold or speed session or even assessments for almost two months. Only Economy runs. These economy runs are important to carry on as they build your base, for resilience for future training.

Tried to jog abit faster today but at 3.5km mark start feeling left knee ache so slowed and walked abit.

Overall 4km still around 6min10s pace..
Warm but windy night
Take time to do lower load, i.e. either shorter distance, or slower pace, or both and slowly built your base from there. Reason I believe why seasoned runners can do easy runs for 16km to 20 km on easy days, is they have built their base gradually over time.

Slightly cool morning only. Windy though......helpful for jogging leg but not much for cycling leg.

Sigh......

As mentioned many times, never let your guard down for any single moment when crossing roads, esp for us who do this so bloody often.

Girl, 4, dies after car accident at River Valley, parents appealing for witnesses

Her death is devastating for her family and everyone who knew her.

It was supposed to be a normal routine for four-year-old Zara Mei Orlic, who hummed a song as she crossed Institution Hill in River Valley to return home from school with her younger sister and their family's helper.

That fateful day, on Jan. 23, 2024, Zara never made it home.

A car ran her over — despite screams from her helper, who was merely two steps behind holding Zara's sister's hand, for the car to stop.

A resident nearby who came out of their house after hearing a loud bang filmed the heartbreaking scene of the helper wailing while holding Zara in her arms.

(R.I.P - 😔)
