Today tried one last track intervals before Sunday but after warmup, tried to sprint and my calf was not having it. Probably will rest until Sunday race. If really cannot then just skip the race but that is last resort
Shanti also injured for the Olympic. Hope both of you can recover enough for the race.

"Serious Runner" DNS last minute for the following race due to injury.
Note: "Serious Runner" is a running parody account, so don't take his training seriously., only for entertainment. But he is actually a good runner.

Just your muscle/skeletal system adapting to the new loading condition of you exercise regiment. Make sure you have rested and continue loading. sore is ok, more rest. Painful is no ok, even more rest.
Some people do foam rolling of the sore part.

Does it mean I’m over training?

If rest one day, and the sore gone, I don't think it's overtraining. Over training will lead to burn out and injury. You will know the injury part when it happen. Burnt out is abit difficult to detect, but out resident trainer @ctan84 and doc @binbinpon may advise better. But losing weight should be one of signs, fatigue, don't feel like training.

Errr more meaningful if you can give a summary of your running background i.e. how long u have been running, weekly mileage, each run how long / fast, effort on a scale of 1-10 how is it etc. No head no tail u suddenly tell us u did a run n your muscle feel sore, nobody can infer anything leh...

Can try getting muscle cream/spray and see whether it helps with your calf
I think it's sore today cause last night did physio. But yeah have been using creams and sprays. Actually originally was lower calf pain now migrated upwards from middle calf to now upper calf. I think it's cause of compensation by the body.

Not pro runner here. I have experienced what u experienced when I just started running as a habit, once u run more often u don’t feel that

I started running 5–10km about twice or thrice a week. Just started aboht a month and a half ago nia. My pace was about 6:45min/km. Then now started to touch average 5:40min/km. Usually the last 2-3 km I cruise at 5 to 5:10min/km. The runs usually feel like between 7 and 8 effort (out of 10). Recently feel like muscle sore takes longer to recover. Sometimes even the subsequent run also feel like not recovery completely.

@ctan84 can u evaluate for me please?
