I did a 1.8km warm up, followed by 2.6km at 3.45 min/km and 2.4km slow jog. Then 3km cooldown. Garmin increased my Vo2max from 55 > 56.

Now, Garmin wants me to run 5.25 min/km for 80 minutes today. See how it goes later :ROFLMAO:

I don't even know how accurate is Garmin's vo2max. After cross training for the past 1.5 months, my vo2max went up from 55 to 58 then now drop back to 57. LOL

I wouldn't recommend using the army emart shoes. Have ran 437km on it so far, it's durable but too heavy. Do my recovery runs on it, running slower than my racing flats, Asics Hyper Speed 3, next day leg feels more sore.

Best to spend some $ and get a proper running trainers for leg health lol

Ah I see, I usually go around 6pm when my work ends. 5pm, only on weekends if I go for a run there.
I am using saf shoe to run and to walk.
But in term of comfort, I rate it 6 out of 10.
In terms of durable, I rate it 9 out of 10.

Very big difference between the way you and I decide to train.

1: I increase my weekly mileage from 50 > 55 km/week from July.
2: I increased my long run distance from 10km in early June to 14-15km in late June.
3: My hard runs are more focused on 1.5k race pace and now targeting 3k race pace, which is more in line with vo2max.
4. My total hard run % is low. Last week, ran 58km with (2 x 2.4km threshold runs, 8 x 0.4km intervals). Even if I include strides/random sprints, also don’t exceed 15%. This week, I did 4 x 0.8km and 2.6km threshold run, aiming for 55k week. That’s bordering close to 10%.

So in summary, will keep hitting my goal interval/threshold times without getting injury 😏

Walking is alright, I think in works well as a cross training gym shoe. Yes it can last long, I have ran in it for 480km and still fine. Just that I don’t feel that I recovered after running in those shoes 🤓

Could be, another possibility is i am having hives past week. Gotta rest tomorrow one day and just taken ebastine. Take a day as it goes and observe. Seriously am not sure what is happening.
Maybe do a cheap "full body checkup" and see what the bloodwork shows. If you have not gotten any for the past 1-2 years then great to have that also.
