Most runners who went for Stryd is when they want to train by power intensity. Stryd is one of the pioneer therefore it has one of the most established way of zoning by power. Need to do Critical Functional power test, machiam like LTHR when we want to zone by LT. Being a foot pod, the other advantage is it can gives instant pace. But if you train by pace intensity, then you miss out the thing they was well known for, i.e train by power intensity.

That's why even when we have power reading on Coros or Garmin, not many runners use that function. They do not have a well developed method of determine Funtional Threshold power with their watch. But I guess it is similar to testing LTHR, agar agar just use Power vs LActate (4 mmol) instead of pace or HR vs Lactate.

I wouldn't want to spend alot on money on it if I am not very sure I am going to train via power intensity for the rest of its life span.

Right now I am using Coros foot pod, which is alot cheaper than Stryd. But it will only work on Coros products and don't have the power intensity training.

LAter then sceen shot my long run splits with HR. Not easy to do without a PC.
i am using this :

but i want to buy another one which is not zwift.

People, you know what i came across just now?

1 super champion walking/jogging backwards @ Bay East Garden (towards dir of MB bridge) on the cycling side. Before sunrise no less. So for safety, gotta slow down heaps and give wide berth. Saw he was on white earpods.

Don't know, perhaps i really don't understand the general society.

wah nice. think i got lots of more work to do to reach there.
moreover, i was wearing the superblast which I realize that it actually gives a positive rebound due to the high stack height. no wonder my legs doesn't feel as fatigue compared to the novablast 3.

i think got benefits in terms of some physio actually, cld be prescribed with it by the PT or physio. But need to do it in at a safer place. I think even walking/jogging lane also a bit dangerous, but still can do if able to keep in straight line.

Dang it, i think i missed a large part of the pectorals for my push ups. Growth is got growth and strength is got improvement, just that....it could have been better.

Only hoot diamond (hands closed in), half rep partials, full ROM in decline position (50cm and 70cm heights).

Never knew that wide stance and with a squeeze at the top (protractio)n at the top can hit the pecs much better....esp in decline position.

Just did it. It is correct, since i didnt train at all in this pos, upper hands etc shaking after i did it to near failure. (y) That's the good news. Bad news is, i wasted a fair bit of time forlike 9 months coz never trained this way. :frown:

From Kneesovertoes guy, walking backward improve the muscles supporting the knees. It's light enough that even those with knee injuries can do to increase strength as the starting point before they progress to more siong workout. But dangerou to do in crowded park with bicycle. But there are some of elderly are doing it in the stadium which is much safer.

Wow........ 58 years old only.

Just watched abit, the first guy already so many chronic issue. Once reach this level, very hard to get them to be physical active, coz even getting up to walk a few hundred meters the HR already crossed LT1 and can't maintain steady state.
My father, has heart valve issue. Just stand up already unsteady state, very hard to get him even to walking, coz that is like Anerobic for him liao. But he is already 88.
