Just thinking of going for a run puts my heart at zone 2. :ROFLMAO: But for me, I just do a slow jog/walk. If it hits zone 3, I'll slow down and walk until it's closer to zone 1 then slow jog again. I find this works best for me. Easy to do long distance also. Can hit 10km in like 1 hour.

10km in 1 hour 😱

After nearly like 1 year of running i hit jackpot last night. Was wondering why my legs tired so fast when i run
Decided to try the garmin galloway running programmes (i know its crap) but there was one session where he did drill runs and focus on short stride, quick pace and increase cadence. Basically to keep feet low to ground. Unlocked a new form of running. I used to take long strides and lift my legs back high
My legs were not tired as before
My pace was faster
I covered more distance
My.back no pain cos less stomping

Meet the pacers for this Garmin Run. Very difficult job, coz they can't run too fast, and can't run too slow. Always have to check and take care of the participants.

Envious, looks like all of them got sponsored a pair of Asics Running shoes.

Maybe that suits your current musclature more. Not a pro or physio or what...... perhaps u currently more glutes dominant / powerful. And/or you (joints) cannot sustain the pound etc.....hence affecting recovery.

Theorectically is can save more energy with lifting, that is if your body can take it and have enough strength with the associated muscles etc.

7 weeks prior to Berlin, picked up spinal injury and had to drastically limit his running mileage. (max 45km per week)
Did cycling and elliptical as cross training for his aerobic system coz need to limit impact.

10k split still 33 mins.

But @ 28k his quads and hamstrings gave up and he felt the muscles just could not work, but aerobically he was still very ok.

FM result slow for his expectations, 2:38

They just release new slots at 2pm just now for ShareTransport to Garmin race site. I wasn't successful the first round for Seng Kang. Just now was able to grab a seat for the 2nd round.
