Ok let's look at a few runners:

1. Shanti >> 100: 11.19, 200: 22.57, 400: 53.67
2. Dipna Lim Prasad >> 100: 12.16, 200: 24.46, 400: 54.18
3. Goh Chui Ling >> 200: 25.49, 400: 56.72, 800: 2.07, 1500: 4.26, 2.4k: 7.48
4. Romaine Soh >> 800: 2.14, 1500: 4.43, 2.4k: 8.05
5. Vanessa >> 1500: 4.44, 2.4k: 7.59

Shanti aerobic system isn't as good as Dipna Lim Prasad, but her explosive speed is much faster.

Chui Ling has slower explosive speed, but impressive scaling. Her 800m time almost broke the 800m NR.

Romaine Soh, has more burst than Vanessa, but worse endurance than Vanessa. Her explosive speed and endurance can't beat Chui Ling.

Overall thoughts: Shanti has potential to get 800m NR, but it would affect her 100/200m training. Might not as well, since her deterioration is significant compared to other runners. 1.5k, hard to gauge her endurance without knowing her 1500m times.

Interesting that even Paul Chelimo workouts 5k with "just" 300m. Of coz that is just but one of the workouts that he does, as he does 400s and 800s and the mile as well of coz as far as intervals are concerned.

So that MB 200m hill reps (i believe my guesstimation to be around 10% gradient if not min 8%, is confirm good resistance) confirm enough training stimulus for outside of local pro level, so i think at her top level + talent / excellent genetics, confirm not that far off from our NR for such distance (GCL @ 7:48)

She'll definitely be able to hang on at the front in the porcari sweat 2.4. :ROFLMAO:

Ever since Hougang Stadium has been closed for renovation, I have been using the PCN for the speed workouts for the training. Also for TAO prescription are each lap are by duration instead of distance, so I don't really need the 400m actual distance.

But I understand the peeve of runners who needs the inner lane and you have some parent with a toddler there or walkers who insist on taking the inner most lane. They have their right, but certainly not considerate. Then you have group walkers that occupy a breadth of 3 lanes of more...

I think bo bian. guess sometimes really gotta live and let live.
Dont let such things affect the rest of your workout / day. Coz we are out there for a purpose, for a good positive session.

Once got 5-6 group walkers occupying the whole breadth of Bay East Garden ie both cycling and running paths occupied, i just guai guai stayed behind them with BT speaker till a few good seconds later they reacted and gave way. They really super slow in dectecting my presence glanced backwards and then took another few seconds to siam. *shrugs*.

I have also encountered my own fair share of being shouted at........once actually while running. Think they chau tio coz engrossed and so shouted when stunned. Why not paying attention while running, beats me, could be phone + music etc.

Actually this morning also got shouted at by oncoming pretty fast runner at GBTB, not sure why coz i was in the cycling lane and the POSB Passion Run got it's own lane demarcated by cones occupying the running lane and half of the cycling lane. Somemore just at around 20-25kmh nia as i already finished my workout and cooling down listen to music.

Why runners shout at cyclists cycling on the cycling lane, I really not sure. Again might be previously overly engrossed in their devices / music / podcasts. Not say cannot listen to music (I do also) , but it needs to be "open air" type and they need to pay attention to their front.

Actually, technically, the cycling lane is patrolled and enforced by the NPARKS security contractors in buggy carts one, hence the buggy logo as well on the bugg/cycling lane. Quite a few good times i have seen them flashing their red/blue flashing lights on their buggy top and horning asking runners as well as parked Amywhee;s bicycles on that lane to move to the running lane side. But most times i think they also bo chup already, they flash their lights and wave but the runners also bo chup and then the buggies drive past.

Pace for the 18k run. (@ 3.3k mark)
3K timing = 8:54
5K timing = 14:50

Maybe will have someone blow up again due to the weather. (like yesterday)
edit - literally confirm someone will blow up later.

I bought the top selling running socks from shopee.

Wow I'm really impressed with the quality and price.

A fraction of the cost of my Nike.

300s can work well with 5k workouts if want to include speed workouts. But the usual standard is still 800s, 1ks.

Also, Kiplimo broke the 15km world record. In form to take back the HM WR :ROFLMAO:

I also run most of the time at stadium. Very common to witness everything u mentioned.

To add on..they are people who just walk into the track without looking. Imagine a runner is sprinting at less than 4 mins /km speed for their interval track training .

Sometime I need to hop away or jam brake to avoid this kind of people . Then there are some jokers who will run in clockwise direction instead of anti clockwise.

Saw some guailan runners at the stadium also.

He ran opposite in the middle lanes.

If you want to run opposite, at least use the outer lanes.

It shouldn't be allowed at the 1st place. Regular season runner I observed won't run opposite direction on the track. Anyway this kind of guai lan runner won't last more than 10 rounds.
