The crowd likely after office hour.

Just collected. Got the banana and sis gel sample. Also got the viewquest t shirt and two whey protein samples.
This is my first year as a 300km club. Benefits is a gold coin and priority massage queue tag.

I got my t-shirt too haha. Still deciding if to wear it or another red t-shirt/singlet instead.

Recently been watching some X country video, quite interest to try running on these dirt, grass field, undulation terrain. As mentioned by @Kuudere , closest we can get are Bedok reservoir or MacRitchie , but that I consider MR more to trail running, though there are similarities.

Looks like one race coming up soon here, but looking at the organizers, this is likely for elite level or representative from elite running clubs.

The Standard Chartered goodie bag dun come with the shoe race tag right?

The one that you string through your laces to record race time

Come to Bedok reservoir after/during heavy rain. You get wet sandy simulation.

Not much muddy patches. Although if you want, can die die run at grass areas at the Poly half. (from 0 to 2km)

Will risk looking like muddy siaolang. 😄

*****

Add: Hmm I don't recommend going alone.

The small reservoir opposite Bedok reservoir. Dirt trail. Confirm messy after rain.

Too extreme if you ask me.

These few days, have been running in the rain, testing the drainage capabilities of some of my shoes, by running thru puddles of water. Nike Vaporfly, scores well. In about 10m after, most of the water inside the shoes almost flow out.

The sound u get when your foot land is quite therapeutic though.

Indeed I enjoy running on gravel in heavy rain. Feels cool and won't slip.

For me, Rebel 3 and Plaid V1 drains the best. No heaviness.

Wish you guys good luck and good weather this weekend!

Macritchie is a lot tougher than Bedok, there's this club MR-25 that does 5k monthly time trials at Macritchie.

http://mr25.org.sg/

The national runner was only able to run 17.07 min for 5k, when his actual 5k time is around mid 15 min.

Bedok reservoir if I am not wrong, usually add about 30s to 5k time, with the sandy terrain. Not too bad, but enough to feel the fatigue setting in earlier, compared to running on road.

Yes, this race is actually very competitive. Top 50 times last year was under mid 17 min for the 4.8km. And that is equivalent to 5km on road. The top 50 consist of a lot of foreign runners, but still have a number of fast local runners.

Not all of these runners transit into long distance though.

Reminder : Always a good idea to do regular heart screenings too, in addition to your other screenings.
Esp since we are into sports.

The $480-500 package more than good enough for us with no co-morbidities.

If i have to live like that or similar reduced capacity for the rest of my life, i think better end it quick is better.
