It's not forbidden. It's probably the most efficient running for those running 6 min plus pace for slower. different pace different form, different people different form.

Scary, lagi faster than Nick Bester. Virgin can gun 65:51 mins liao.
(nearly 1 min faster than our national record by soh fast)

The cycling routes also have a lot of those small tunnels/viaducts and of course the the more rolling terrain in the rural areas (like some parts of rural malaysia or batam).

From google, the HK marathon has a total elevation gain of 951m. Might as well say i also managed to hike a mountain while running FM.
That is 2X total elevation that of 2024 Paris Olympics marathon (and they were saying that one is climby liao)

Don't think its 951 metres. My Garmin recorded 288 metres elevation gain. Other than the first bridge climb, the other inclines were okay and not steep, just that got many of them and they were quite long. My regular running routes around my house and Botanic Garden have plenty of inclines, so I'm used to them.

You sign liao? I am still deciding which one to put in my bucket list. Maybe Berlin (easier? and flat) or Tokyo (cheaper air fare and excellent logistic). 7 year later see you with your seven stars medal.

Those 6 stars holders who crossed out WMM off their bucket list don't know if they want to put the last star back into their bucket list. LOl

Hope you get your star. If I understand correctly the table you put out in your previous post, 3 stars and above guaranteed you for any WMM except TOkyo and Boston which need 4 stars.

I ran HK marathon in my early years of running (>10 years back), they have a numbers of small elevation climb those West coast highway type. But no killer climb like our Sheare bridge.

Berlin easiest to get, apparently 1 in 2 chance. Sydney only this year start balloting, last year could still register normally. Tokyo notoriously very hard to get, many angmohs finished their last sixth star in Tokyo. They just purchased tour package or donate to charity coz could not get slots through balloting. NY marathon open for public even for first-timers, no qualifying time.

I am really glad that our SCSM didn't get the WMM. Else my streak race will not be guaranteed anymore even if I am willing to pay.

Yeah the rolling type, i hate those for leisure, unless if training specifically for that.
Sentosa if loop around is the best training for this. Can Up down up down until can vomit after a few rounds if dont pace properly. No killer slopes (other than Serapong) but the rolling can be a good test.
I think nowhere else in SG is like this + the ability to do loops, not sure about Ubin tho....

Actually Sentosa is really super nice for running, if you can manage to get there..... A rare few runners even enter through the gates into the nicest edge of the island areas at W Singapore or at the other end at 1 deg 15.

But for cyclists not so convenient to enter, way too obvious in trespassing liao esp if in full cycling kit....unless you wear typical normal clothes like the other residents. Still is good training grounds.

I have no idea. Just balloting for fun. If ever I try, will probably want to try Tokyo for flat route and NYC cause got other things can do there (holiday) haha

Of course can always do other overseas marathons that are flat and cheaper

When you ran got the Stonecutters Bridge already? Google said it was opened in December 2009.

There was another long climb at the underground tunnel back to the Causeway Bay, but that one ok because not steep.

Overall I think the course not difficult. Bali marathon I think so far the hilliest one I ran.

Yeah, don't think its correct lar. I did not feel the course was climby. Boring, but definitely not challenging.

Not yet, wait a few days, registration close on 25th, no need to be so kiasu.

Not say you want to join can auto join coz the chance to get a slot is lower than 10%. I will just ballot for all the majors except Boston then go for whichever one I managed to get a slot. Boston can only ballot once have 4 stars.
