Nope, the ones just discussed do not have. But winsports and CST also have ones that contain caffeine, but damn expensive.
Just hoot your strong coffee or redbull in the morning ba. RB is 80mg per 250ml, if race breakfast that time you hoot around 300+ ml of iced RB enough already.
I dont train with caffeine. Only Beta Alanine / Creatine. Coz caffeine can develop resistance to it and over time really need humongous amts of it in order to work.
For eg, I tell my FIL and MIL not to drink before sleep as they might not be able to sleep and they just laughed at me. They literally can drink 1 cup of 3-in-1 and then doze off 30-60 mins after that at 10pm. No good.
But some pax even drink 1 small packet of pokka green tea (lower than coffee) at dinner and then whole night cannot sleep liao.
They might not feel it when awake but at night it might affect their sleep. Maybe they hardly get into deep sleep.

Tried Maurten 100 for the first time yesterday. Really taste or feel kinda weird haha. Not sure what's the hype about it.

I have tried a couple of gels and Maruten is my favorite. Flavorless and easy to go down. Do not need water to go with it too.
Worst is probably GU. Cheap but the taste is so bad even for the variety of flavors I have tried

Won't say totally flavourless, got subtle taste haha. Oh well, stuck with maurten now since I ordered a few packets of each kind. Good thing is like what you said, don't need water and stomach felt ok.

GU is too thick already.Confirm need water to flush it down.I actually liked their caramel flavour one.

Actually isotonic gels don't really need water to go with it. SIS gels are pretty popular nowsaday also.

I will prefer SIS gels over GU any day. Downside is that SIS gels are long and bulky

Right now I’m taking pure brand energy gels with 30 mg caffeine per pack. I see Ben Khoo takes the amino Saurus brand

I have quite a few sis isogel. But I find it weight/kcal ratio quite poor. It's 75g and only 87kcal. Most gel would weigh 45g, and pack around 100 Kcal.

@WussRedXLi @Ender do the gels you take contain caffeine? Curious
The ones I took for the race don't have. But they do have those flavour with caffeine.
Caffeine doesn't work on me. I drink coffee everyday until body adapts to it.
Main reason for china gel is it's cheap, only like $1 per packet for a 100kcal. Their pro edition can go up to 160kcal or like the Win brand up to 185kcal for the same weight as SIs isogel.

Actually I only look at the amount of carbs per gel. Not very familiar with gels haha. But it honestly give an energy boost especially those with caffeine.

Previously used to take aminovital. Taste and texture is good but I find it really don't help at all. So now just trial and error.

Ya need to trial.
For me need to be light and pack as high energy as possible (kcal or KJ). Then trial if taste is acceptable and no issue for the gut.
And the price too, cheaper better.

I wonder how many here have issue tearing off the gel packets? I find SIS and most brands I tried like KODA, high 5, they don't tear off easily. Especially worst when I have sweaty palms.
The Maction(迈胜)brand is the first time I was able to tear off easily and consumed it on the go without stopping.

Can try 250ml red bull can for HM since you doing that distance. 45g of carbs 80mg caffeine.
But still, actually need to wash down with like at least 50ml of extra water at the end. heh.....
Shd not be too much weight of significance to carry till around 10-12km before consumption.
i was a frequent red bull drinker in my teens and uni period, as coffee had no effect on me. Now i am avoiding it totally due to the side effects.

Cheap daily trainer. Currently china brand most talked about "万金油" shoes is the Li Ning Red Hare 8 Pro and this QD Strong Wind 3TR. And they are cheap, I ordered my QD Strong Wind 3TR for less that 200 yuan GST included and shipped.
Finally China branded shoes can start releasing decent daily trainers. It will be goodbye to western brand soon., I have no western branded shoes on my radar. Except for the Nike VPfly 4 and only if they appear in the outlet at less than $150.

just placed an order to try
RMB170.10 (price equivalent to 2 bowls of ramen) 😜
