Jakob out of 1500m heats

I think you should be able to hit sub 40 pretty easily considering your 2.4 and 5 km timing are much faster than me.
Definitely not an easy feat, would still take a lot out of me to go sub 40 😅

Qiaodan Plaid series. I wear Plaid 1 and SC Elite V3 there is literally little to no difference, other than the "depth of cusioning" of Plaid 1.0 is deeper than SC Elite V3 (able to compress further more when you really put the power down sub 4.00 paces esp feelable towards 3:00 to 3:15 paces. Talking about midsole foam, not the upper or anything else.

Yes, i tested by wearing one side Plaid 1.0 vs the other side SC Elite V3. So literally real-time A/B left/right comparison.

Get the 1.0 or 1.5 versions. Cheap cheap also. For me is TTS. 44 in SCE V3 is 44 in Plaid 1.0
There is nothing wrong with non-current versions if you are after that feeling.

Not surprising as he just came back from a pretty significant injury. I dont think he is surprised by this result either

I hope he can still podium the 5k.
His recent videos all about cars recently. Maybe due to the injury.

U won't go wrong with either of them. Use chatgpt and YouTube to compare features and reviews and look at the interface. If u already have garmin watch, then makes sense to also buy their bike comp. Sometimes they have so many features that you might be only using 10% of them. So is it worth to pay very high price for them, it's really your own choice. For me I sold my $600+ (can't remember exact price) garmin 830 to a friend within few months and then downgraded to $50 basic cyclpus bike comp. I wasn't short of money in case u tot I was broke. The 2 bike comps I had before 830 were also midrange garmin.

hmm care to share why you sell? Cos you will most likely lost a little. Believe you did your research before buying

should had just bought the $50 basic bike comp which you did

When I bought it, I just want the best equipment. The so called research was just comparing price vs features vs other brands. It wasn't about matching my needs.

Then later realised I don't need all those features. Sold it to my friend at a lost was fine with me, not considered as wasted. It would be considered as a waste if I still hold on to it without utilising most of the features.

I usually run 2 times a week, around 6km each time. Suddenly experienced pain at the outside of both knees, around the bony area, from last week onwards. Affected even my walking.

Tried massaging the area to no avail until I did some IT band stretching from YouTube, and had some relief. Is this gonna be a permanent issue? Don't think my running is intense compared to the rest of you.. :(

Any change in speed, running form, new shoes? If nothing changed, I suspect is due to old age or wear and tear. Maybe want to drop your exercise volume, have more rest in between the 2 sessions, walk when u feel slight pain or run shorter? Try doing fast walk for 5 or 10 mins as a dynamic warm up. If nothing works then see a doctor or podiatrist.

If me I will take at least 1 week break. When get better, do fast walk. Then slowly restart everything by running 2 km first, following week 3km, and so on.
