Appreciate your review. Think I won't like it as well due to lack of energy return.

Reminds me of NB Fresh Foam V13 kept in cold storage.

Recently self poisoning myself on Qiaodan Leili and Plaid Leili. Both non plated and supposed to be soft and bouncy.

Also Dowin 神行者3. Plated soft bouncy.

Maybe wait for 11.11. 😄
looking beyond the midsole performance, i think NB5 overall design is nice, esp lacing and material aspects. heel padding abit too thick for me. outsole appears good and shoe overall stability is v gd.

me also looking at plaid leili cos non plated

plated, me more than happy with BMAI jingtan 3.0turbo. if u buy DOWIN 神行者3, do share your feedback 😜

Okay I will wait for pre 11.11 sale.

Really like Jingtan3 turbo as well. Wanted to get the new red+gold colour way. But like only suitable for CNY. :s13:

i suspect NB4 will be a better buy and will be cheaper since its an outgoing model
Seems like ASics, unlike Nike or Adidas which they have very good outlet prices when you are there at the right time.

Asics, especially their popular models like NB,SB, hardly have good sales. Even discount it's still a miserable >$150. That's why my last Asics shoes is the NB2.

Now Jeff Nippard also kenna from Solomon Nelson. First it was exposing Mike Israeltel's PHD as low quality.

The happiest person is Greg Doucette, coz he now has two related sagas to milk for criticism. LOL. I think he is going to make 10 videos.

And even Shredded Sport Science also commented on the whole Mike and Jeff saga (watch from 3:00 min onward).

i was hoping for Superblast 2 or Megablast but these new popular models were not found in the outlet. The discounted prices were actually only on par with TB, which is not a big attraction. Only advantages are colorway & sizes availability and peace of mind in terms of authenticity.
What really surprises me was official Asics retail stores were not found in Sapporo. Can only find Asics walking.

My last attempted run was in 05 Sept where I couldn't even run 1km after having hip bursitis or gluteus tendonitis issue ..already seen physiotherapist and recommended some strengthening exercises to my hip and butt. Now I slowly resume my run..every run increase 1km and did a 11km last night..I am so happy that I can start to resume my run . Although I had sign up FM SCMS 2025. I feel it is too late and too rush for it. Definitely have to give it a miss this time
If alr signed up I suggest walk jog to finish. As long as below 7:30. No point waste money plus this year all flat. Just don’t try for fast timing

first run (12km@7min/km pace) in my newly acquired ASICS Novablast 5. In short, not my kind of shoe, soft, cushy but slow responsive, kind of clunky although its relatively light. Upon going through The Run Testers reviews on this pair, i agree with them largely and I am suspecting maybe the previous version (more responsive midsole) will suit me better. Anyway, lets see how it performs as i spend more time running in it.
I own the Novablast 5 as well and have to agree with you. I only use this shoe mostly for my recovery runs nowadays. At 250km mileage currently.

Based on my own use case, i can say that Li Ning shoe out sole is not as lasting as other brands...

Abt 350km the same part that always wear off in other shoes is showing very bad wear and tear, faster than other shoes i have worn.

Take for example Magic Speed 4 after 430km the outsole still in pretty nice shape with the tread fading off.

i suspect Asics adjusted NB5 positioning to accomodate the Sonicblast. Would love to get some reviews comparing NB4 & Sonicblast.
But for its pricing positioning, even at discounted price, certainly nothing attractive.

I've watched Solomon Nelson's videos. Mike's PhD thesis is really crap lmao, shouldn't even have passed.

Plus how Mike kept flip flopping between his stories, it's impossible to trust anything that he says.

Those who are taking creatine.. when do you take it? Morning, evening, Before or after run? And what drinks do you mix with normally?

I just bought one to try..

Dry scoop best. Swoosh it in mouth with water.

I take 3 times a day if i can remember, 2 times if cannot remember. 2.5-3g per dose.

At first i bought capsule type. Found it too expensive on long term so bought powder later on. All my creatine purchases are from iherb. So I tot capsules will be on standby if I don't have time to take powder. Not until recently I realised that I can simply add into my overnight oats. So right now taking 5g with my oats for breakfast. Won't forget and consistent timing. Also don't care whether it's consumed before workout or not.

Aiming for Adidas Evo SL but locally still under price control and excluded from all discount. The new Puma Velocity 4 also seems quite interesting. Currently going for $179 but can probably wait for end of season clearout for price slash.
