Anyone ever tried such facilities to boost recovery?
https://www.straitstimes.com/life/s...spaces-are-changing-singapores-wellness-scene

I see the prices beings mentioned in the article, think i am better off making ice cubes and boiling hot water at my own home to soak my feet.

Got use, but this is like 3rd tier.

First tier is sleep. Sufficient and good quality/long enough Slow Sleep Wave (Deep wave) sleep.
For the past what.....4 years since Covid period, i have been placing the most emphasis on this, of coz not possible every day every week, but i dare say 90-95% of the time.

The others are icing on the cake, good to have, but take care of sleep first and foremost.

Vigorous exercise found to be at least 4 times, possibly up to 9X. (time efficiency). wrt health factors
Thanks to wearable devices nowadays.
(ok, not a super recent study, but still not old at all, in 2022)

Quite a large scale study too.

This might be important info for those very time crunched folks who are not into racing / events / structured training.

Bonus - dont forget your SIT, that is damn good icing on the cake if done properly/safely....trust me. Only issue is it is not for beginners and the mistakes are not forgiving. But it is not impossible reaching, i dont consider myself to be an athlete and for sure this did not screw up my body, simply coz the volume is so small. (just dont kena acute stuff like hamstring tear can liao, do your S&C folks)
I already knew this has got to be quite impactful, coz when i first got into running properly, i also surprised myself when i did my first time trial (short distance). Coz there are also factors like neuromuscular (motor units) as well.

Bonus : if talking about say brisk walking (not racewalking / power walking), we are approaching a factor of 100 times. Im not dissing brisk walking, some folks like fully retired folks can afford the time and wanna smell the flowers along rail corridor that is fine nothing wrong at all with spending 2-4 hrs out there daily, but you gotta be mindful of this info as well.

Note : Of coz if you are racing in any endurance events (even 5k, it is technically long distance and already quite aerobic based), you cannot forgo the base / volume. This is also bo bian.
You definitely aint racing even a 5k parkrun with SIT training alone. lol.

I mean raw carbon as in unpainted. I kinda like the concept of unpainted bike..... like no nonsense bike for performance and racing like that.
not about this. its not officially on sale yet. There are some colors

this is probably closest to what you are looking for, but probably not raw unpainted. maybe can contact them and customized based on raw unpainted frame.

Actually come to think of it, havent come across Incolor here in real life before. Not even in the shops.
Quick Pro becoming not super rare already, can see them in the bike shops / local youtuber vids

Last time i played cars that time i also dig sleeper builds, debadge etc.

There is one more nowadays too, Evolve Cima, but Tay Junction bringing in, and it's bloody expensive. (ie anything that local retail touch one, becomes $$$ like gold)

Reflections after 2 months of Zone 2 running.

1. Very difficult to maintain zone 2 during morning runs. Mentally, I keep thinking and worrying about late for chewren drop off and work. Sub consciously pace will be faster and unable to bring down heart rate.

2. Compared to unstructured runs in the past, zone 2 running is very kind on the knees and legs. Almost zero soreness even after long runs.

chip in a bit of my thoughts on z2 running.
1) one needs to commit to lots of z2 runs n chalk up the mileage. if one does not reach a certain base, z2 has little help to improve speed.
2) most ppl with sedentary lifestyle may not have z2. once start running no matter how slow, hr will spike up to z3 or higher. for me even with 2+ yrs of running (yrly milege approx. 1500km), i can only achieve solid z2 runs in cooling climatic conditions.
3) if want to speed up, do more shorter and higher speed runs instead (ideally mix with slow long runs).
