Alternate view, Strength not much help. Moderate to high intensity cardio for longer duration helps. From DR IDZ. Ultimately I think regardless if you focus on strength, cardio or holistic, what matter the most is the exercise that can give consistency all the way.. For me, after going thru all the holistic way of doing strength and cardio combo of various type, including activesg gym season pass, outdoor running is the only sport that keeps me going.
Actually he did mention in the vid that the first method of High frequency strength training only result in really modest results for visceral fat reduction but is not the MAIN reason why he prescribes this strength training.
It is more for reducing or even build muscle while losing fats. Coz if not while losing fat mass, the muscle mass also gets reduced. He did mention that his clients while technically did lose fats % as confirmed via DEXA scans, they also lost muscle, which is also reflected in new lower resting metabolic rate (image below), ie not buring as much energy at rest coz of less muscles than before.
I sorta did kena this back in 2023 i think. MY weight was 56-57 only, think that time you also mentioned about my 10k time of iirc 38 min++ (GPS) and i was running long runs till my joints hurted at 17-18km. Visually stick thin and minimal muscles iirc though the muscles were still visible. I mean i did strength, but not the "real" strength stuff that i am doing nowadays.....as in weighted dips and deadlights/squats or stuff like that and till near failure or even past failure and trying to actively gain muscle.
My weight now is 72kg vs 56-57kg then....not sure about 10k timings now but joints/feet metarsal bones sure pecah one, though i have 3k timings to refer to.

(and yeah i remember that time i was also struggling to do even 10-15 push ups first time when i tried pushups, before i decided that this might not be the best approach for fitness overall).
And of coz, for cycling, the strength part really can help, and usually also coz it is not evenly paced in real life here.
