Actually just buy this cheap one and then DIY freeze some ziploc bags of ice also can. Either dispose of it before starting or can just roll the vest up (after emptying the water) and keep in running belt also can. Dont think the vest is heavy and anyway it is not weight around the legs (ie shoes) so shdnt be that bad.

Think TB also shd have this.

See if you can get any of those insulated foam bags that they pack frozen salmon/tuna when you buy from shopee or something as well, then can transport to the location without losing much of the cold temperature.

Oh.....Taobao $3++ only, with free 24pcs plastic pouches with water inside. (like those that you find at Don don donki, water only, not the special hydrogel type which main benefit is to better conform to body contours vs ice blocks).
Can also add 8pcs of replacement ice bags for like 90 cents, the TB shipping does not change...add to your heart's content.

edit - oh.....the water pouches are resealable, so can empty the water prior to race start.

Bring 16-24 pouches in insulated bag on the way to the SIM, dont see how that is insufficient cooling capacity. 😅

Think at the side got velcro that you can adjust the tightness so that it makes good contact with your body.

Eff......heng my TB order yesterday havent 发货. Cancelling now and getting this one! :ROFLMAO:

For slow non elite runners like me start our race 'cold'. So HR BPM is like resting HR. Reason is we use the warm up phase to make it count to reduce the total mileage. Beside our running pace machiam like 5:40 for sub 4 hr is not particular fast to need muscle loosening up or stretch. Most people can run at this pace at 'cold' without issue.

I "cold" start ALL my runs and use the first 2-3k to warm up. exception is when doing TT at the track where I run 5 laps to warm up.

same, same, I also cold start all my runs. I think most solo runners all cold start. Usually is those who join running clubs, no choice have to do group warm up exercises. And the Elites, coz they running 3:xx pace, and their warmed up homeostasis can last 42km.

Heng not cycling clubs. Coz for that 2-4hrs ride, you'd be staring at another person's butt. Esp when off saddle and in less darker shorts, damn secksi one sometimes can even see butt crack coz no underwear. :s34::s34:

Potential safety hazard/distraction when there is vehicular traffic around cannot anyhow lose concentration.

edit - indeed last ride in group got an ang moh with good figure and face wearing white bib shorts. Heng for me not in my group, i dont want distractions like this.

Then 2 rides ago, also got another one, but the hubby was there to jagar.

Lol I need to warm up one if not I can’t feel my legs haha. Minimum 1km if I arrived late. Maximum 2-3km. But Singapore races very limited space to warm up once you enter race village. Can only up down in one direction

You too excited la haha. But I checked all my races, if my HR hit 160+ at the first few kms, normally the race high chance to bonk also hahaha. Funny thing is when training, HR always relatively low at start also

Do more long runs haha. Maybe 4 30-34km runs before marathon. Will start my BYD marathon training block one week after my next marathon.

BTW bro, ask you har, have you seen close shaves or crashes regarding riders riding side by side and engaging in like full blown conversational chit chats for extended periods? Right in the middle, say second or 3rd row. Not say very high speed but def not say moderate speeds also, maybe at 35-39kmh.

I really scared of the chee hong kias trying to chat up with the girl who just joined, it's very obvious......last time nothing much to chat one but nowadays is like. Sigh. Of coz, i am not expecting them to interact much with me old guy since totally different frequency (i nearly can be like their father already acutually). :ROFLMAO: But i do/can chat with some of the frequent joiners.

But i guess it's "normal", since they are all students age (poly, uni?) and at most young adults.
There are other girls in the grp also, but no interest coz off size like big hips or what.....face not so attractive. (not judging of coz)

I just dont want to be brought down by anyone, then my family sure force me to sell bike.

Changing grp not really an option, coz of the timings and area .
