Like to know abt Cyber Forensic course offer by SMF.. anybody currently studying in that course now? care to share abit of what you are studying? like any programming involved?

what kind of details do you want to know?
my course is the combination of major from both Commerce (management) and Science (cyber forensic, information security and management). I have 13 modules in total, 6 from management and 7 from cyber forensic,... From last trimester, most of the modules are getting tougher (this applies to kaplan too, as both from murdoch university). If you plan to take the same as me, below is the list of the modules:

I did not take psychology so take my advice with a pinch of salt.

Go take a look and compare the modules listed. When seeking higher education, it's not just about the brand that matters. It's about what you learn, and how much you learn. See whether are the modules relevant or not, and how many modules will you be learning. Remember that to be a practicing psychologist, you'll need a Masters or higher. Your Bachelor degree only provides you with a foundation, but this foundation is very important.

A quick search on Google shows that the Murdoch University course offers 12 modules, while the Edith Cowan University course offers 16 modules.

Yes, but it depends on your result & which UK uni you are looking at.

The degree obtained at SMF Institute of Higher Learning is conferred by Murdoch University and is the same as the one at their main campus in Perth, Australia. Most Australian degrees are recognized internationally for employment as well as higher education.

Admission into a Masters programme is very competitive and dependent on your grades.

Do take note that most entry requirements for a Masters degree in the UK need a Honours degree. The degree offered by Murdoch University is a three year course and is not a Honours degree. You may choose to pursue a Honours year by completing an additional year at the Perth campus after your Bachelor's degree. Alternatively, you may try to apply for a Masters programme with a Bachelor's degree if you have stellar grades.

Actually Australia degrees are very similar in terms of modules. You are eventually required to take up to 24 modules (3 years x 8 modules per year) for the Bachelors program. You may want to check with both schools and see which can offer you less modules (= spending less $$) based on the exemptions you may get. Note: the SMF/SMa program is only part-time, not full-time.

However as both do not include Honours, you may need to go over to Australia to get your Honours later. You will require Honours to get into Masters, if you plan to become a psychologist.

I am a graduate from the Communication course and face good prospects in the private sector. In the public relations industry, where you're from does not matter as much as what you can deliver. I have colleagues from NUS/NTU/SMU as well overseas universities and private universities.
