Hi guys, long time no see. Busy with school, assignment and and work.
In reply to 11amguy , in your comparison of is it fair to put an O level student with an N level student, I would say that if we were to be putting students into subsidized education (ie : public and government schools) This assessment is fair and minimizes wastage of resources as those with higher learning power at that point of time are entitled to a better pathway, for example an O level student to Poly assuming they pass and N level student to ITE assuming they are NT and fail to qualify for O levels.
However, in private and especially tertiary education , knowing an additional maths formula or that particular science formula does not make an even an A level student more advantages then me in let's say an Accounting module or a management module. Though it is somewhat helpful with statistics due to the maths of it, no something that people who truly wants to grasp can't do so.
Btw, I am an N > O student as well. But for private education I am supportive of their assessment methods as people who wants it can get it.
As for those who waste their money (ie : those lazy bums you talked about) , thanks to them we have a better economy, it benefits the lecturers and the school which in turn helps students with better facilities and more resources for the students. Hahaha. This are also usually the full time students by the way.
