My experience with KDK fan is... the fan needs a lot of allowance on the ceiling for the air flow to be effective... else it will be shaking a lot if turn on to the max setting... Not sure if it is the same for other brands but my ID says KDK fan need more allowance...

And there is a slight gap btw the wall and the fan which cannot be covered...

If you hunt around in Singapore, the best price is about $380, but most places will ask for about $420.

If you go to JB, you can easily get it from RM480.

U can check out Crestar fans. They have both AC and DC models, both with light attachments (choice of PLC or LED). U can install 2x18W PLC or 2x9W LED, equivalent in brightness to a typical 32W round fluorescent tube.

bought my KDK V56 from JB. been using it for at least 6hours a day since march2010. So far so good. you can buy 2 fans in JB for the price of 1 here. Who cares about whatever warranty.

remember even if it is warrantied, you have to send it back for repair and in the mean time no fan to use. buy 2 units and just do a quick swap if it spoils. So much better isn't it. warranty support in Singapore is overrated. I always rather buy cheaper than any warranty especially when you can buy 2 for the price of 1.

shaking is bcos your installer DOESNT know HOW to fix a KDK ceiling fan!!!
you need to get a certified installer to do the balancing.
