Krisflyer miles redemption

The miles given by airlines is reward for flying. If u book ticket n never fly, you won’t get the miles also. That why it is call frequent flyer mile.

So ..i booked 6 tickets, 6 person are flying.
So I get the miles for 6 tickets?

Already said it should be credit card concept, but they tuned it to become per customer.

Anyway, i've created krisflyers account for all the individuals in my fmaily and just hope we can accumulate enough to redeem miles next time..

SIA emailed me about bidding for Business class upgrade.

I want to bid for 6 tickets, but i noticed they say it's not guaranteed to sit next to each other.

If I've got 2 kids who need to be seated with 1 adult each, what should i do?

If i win the bizclass upgrade, and they charged me, but i discovered the biz class seats are all not beside each other, means the kids sit alone? And I cannot cancelled the upgrade?

If I’m travelling in group and we’ve already chosen to sit together in the original cabin class, will we also be assigned neighbouring seats in the upgraded cabin class?
No, it is not possible to maintain seating arrangements after the upgrade is confirmed. We cannot guarantee the availability of neighboring seats at the point when your upgrade is confirmed, as others who purchased Premium Economy Class or Business Class tickets earlier would already have selected their seats.

So not suitable for people with kids who need to be accompanied.

It depends on where you wanna go. I would take the Europe one. Osaka take Prem E good enough

Aircraft type also plays a big part. SIN-KIX is old 388 (2006 J) or 78X (latest regional J). But if you go Europe, it's almost always either 77W or 359. Almost certain you're getting 2013 J.

Amount of quality J time spent in aircraft is slightly more in favour of Europe sector (if I take CDG to compare). SIN-KIX 5.5hr, SIN-CDG 13hr.

U can save a bit more miles n redeem first class suite go EU n back with redeemed biz/econ or buy one way.

If going japan, choose those flights w new aircrafts.

So far Dbs women cc got 1 yr expiry.
The rest like Citibank, AMEX don’t have expiry.

Thinking of redeeming biz class tickets for our family of 4 from SIN to USA. Our intended destination is actually Orlando but don’t think SQ has any direct flight to Orlando. As I have limited Krisflyer points, can anybody advise how can I maximise the usage of my miles? Which is a better route to Orlando from SIN. Hope you guys can help as i’m totally a noob on this. Thks!

Fly nonstop from Singapore to New York then domestic transit to Orlando.

This is an important point.
E.g. any miles in SQ Krisflyer will expire after 3 years.
So I only transfer my miles to SQ if and when I have plans to spend them.
Meanwhile, I keep the miles (or reward points) on my credit card, and they do not expire, unless I give up the card.

You can set up an Asia Miles account for free, or if you already have one, then log in and check out the flights they have to see if there is anything that interests you.

From the online system, I can only see Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon flights. The availability on Business class seems decent if you intend to fly from HKG to regional destinations, including Singapore.

I don't intend to use this promotion because I have no concrete plans to use Asia Miles. (they expire too). Also, the promo is capped at max of 10K miles additional, or something like that. The 15% extra miles is not an unlimited amount.
