Super thanks Oceanicmanta..Very grateful...i'm crazily googling on what's needed to drive in last min.

One more thing to clarify, is the Malaysia Road charge applicable? RM$20 per entry right? And pay via TouchNGO only? If yes, can i buy this card somewhere at the Malaysia CIQ?
Can buy at ciq. Any of the four zones last lane got the counter.

Sent from my Samsung 4K HDTV in Batam using GAGT

Safe trip there & back

Thanks to Bak Chor Mee, oceanicmanta, jumpmanz, beanstalk6!

Everything went smoothly, bought my TouchNGo card too... i took the wrong flyover once exiting JB CIQ (so confusing so many ramps and i don't recognise the roads on the signs) and its a short space of time to decide which to take & cars will coming up behind me , so i ended up the one heading to Pasir Gudang...:) Luckily the next exit was not too far and could turn back to KSL city smoothly.

Thanks again!

If I am gonna be at JB sentral early around 8am, since earliest CW S1 bus starts at 850am,is there any other bus I can take that stops directly in front of KSL? If I were to call for Grabtaxi from sentral in the morning where is a good place to wait for the cab? Thanks.

I personally like to go to the entrance of Komtar JBCC along Jalan Tun Abdul Razak where there's a Grab sign.

I normally try to avoid the taxi stand at JB Sentral facing City Square unless I plan to just take a cab already there. I'm not comfortable with the drivers approaching me making that place look a bit chaotic. Same for the entrance of City Square where taxis are not supposed to pick up passengers from there, so you'll have to walk to the roadside.

Bus-wise, I believe you'll have to alight at the bus stop along the main road (Jalan Tebrau or something) and walk in.

Many of the buses at Sentral ply along the main road. You can take them to KSL, alight at Crystal Crown Hotel (one stop after Pelangi bus stop). I had posted this before. It is also very near to the traffic junction. You just to walk along the lane between the hotel and the shop houses. KSL is near by, less than 10min walk.
Not sure, just walk towards the traffic junction and then turn left and walk along the road, which is longer, you will see KSL.

i always take IM7 or S1
S1 is cleaner bus & takes a shorter route.
IM7 takes a slightly longer route, passing by Holiday Plaza.
Both alight at the same place no ?? infront of KSL Mall entrance leading to the Mon night market .

Both IM17 and S1 stop at the Coffee Bean entrance that's in line with the KSL Hotel entrance, daily except Monday evenings when the road's closed for the pasar malam.

Monday evenings, both buses will stop at the KFC side, which is Lower Ground (LG) same level as Tesco.

hi guys, from jb customs. how to go KL?

To KL, you can take a train from JB Sentral which is attached to the CIQ, but the frequency is not very high and the ride to KL Sentral will take you upwards of 7 hours.
An alternative is to take a coach from Merlin Tower or Larkin Terminal. For Merlin Tower, you will have to walk about 7 minutes. A few ticketing agencies and coaches still serve the route from Merlin Tower. To get to Larkin Terminal, you need to hop onto a taxi or continue your journey from the CIQ on a bus like service 170. From Larkin, there are services practically every half hour to KL, usually terminating at TBS
Yet another method is to fly via Senai Airport. There are flights by about 4 airlines daily to KUL or SZB, both of which are KL airports. There is a airport bus from the CIQ or take a taxi to Senai Airport.
Lastly, you can charter the blue taxis directly but it will be costly.

One correction to the reply above. There is no longer any direct train service between JB Sentral and KL Sentral. A transfer at Gemas or Tampin is necessary.
