Those are the prices of the very basic ones, but the frames (I bought 2 from there, the 2nd one was with progressive lenses) I chose were those with higher price... I think RM75. Then I also chose some optional lens features which I paid extra for.

I love the quality.

so in total u paid like how much for your spec?

Anyone bought mooncakes from KSL? Any brands to recommend?

go takashimaya better. more variety

Quite a number of bakery stalls are displaying their mooncakes at City, JB. Comparing mooncake prices between Singapore and Malaysian made, there is nothing to talk about. The difference is massive. Certain bakery products are comparable compatible. Well. I must say the malaysian loose out in the packing, the box, the plastic holder, knife and the paper bag. If you are looking for a mooncake gift the best bet is singapore mooncake.
Malaysian Season bakery products are good in term of pricing and flavour.

Cheapest is RM35 from Dr Specs in KSL Mall. Can collect within 30-60 mins.

No gimmick. Price is based on the frame that you choose. All frames are priced.

I did my specs there twice. - RM35 & RM55

Can imagine a pair of spec at the price RM35 - RM55. TY for the info. will try on the coming trip.

lens plus frame only RM35/RM55?:eek::eek:

quality ok or not? can last 1 year or not :s11::s11::s11:

How long can a pair of spec last?
Really! the only moving part of the spec frame is the hinge adjoining the leg and the main frame.

My problem with spec is I tend to read, fell asleep and lie on it. Ultimately the leg is crooked and cannot be repaired to its original fitting position. Need a new pair. Say whatever you want RM 55 for a pair of spec is a bargain. what else to ask for?

One more thing, disposable contact lenses are far cheaper in Malaysia. Best to go with your prescription. I have my reservation about some of their opticians.

I did a total of 3 specs at different time of the year. The first pair was done last September and it has been more than a year liao and so far so good, no spoil and still good.

The second pair's screw dropped off and I brought it to the shop to fix for me and they do it for me free.

For RM35 per specs what can we expect? As long as it serves its purpose, why not?

At that kind of prices, nothing to lose if you're already there for shopping.

Reasonable quality reading glasses ready in half an hour or so.

Wise move, go with your prescription.
Singapore optician shops are manned by registered opticians not like Malaysia. Although many shops will test your sight with computerised machine there are also cases where actual vision and sight tests for finer adjustment are proven necessary.
One more thing, spec frames are also relatively important to give good correction. If the optician can explain to you, you should be comfortable with his dispensing.
