anyone stay in KSL before? I don't get something

KSL Hotel & Resort Johor Bahru, Malaysia: Agoda.com

Studio apartment king room only(167 sq.m.) $77
Superior king room only (26 sq.m.) $90

Click on the details and compare what each type offers.

These 2 are not only from different categories of "rooms", but also in different buildings - one on the left of the mall, the other's on the right. Different entrances, different reception counters.

From the road, entrance to the apartment building looks like a carpark entrance - and it is. Apartment doesn't have room service, no Wi-Fi, etc. It's furnished, with toiletries provided, kitchen has rice cooker, fridge, pot and pan, plates, bowls, and utensils, etc, and that's about all you get - don't expect anyone to come clean up after you (unless you pay a fee, maybe). Ever stayed in a chalet here? It's something like that, except that you're in an apartment.

The hotel room, on the other hand, is like any other hotels - with cleaning service, etc, and KSL provides free Wi-Fi too.

If you've a group, and don't mind cleaning up after yourselves, then go for the apartment. If there are only a couple of you, and you like more conveniences, go for the hotel room.

I was also :s11: the first time I tried to book. Ended up with a room on both sides - quite fun, I must say. :s13:

Looks like Marmolada Food Court I mentioned a couple of weeks back...?

大家勝?
What food do you recommend there? I like their kuey teow in sweet sauce with their side snacks. Can't remember clearly their stall name.

My wife would go to their soup stall with yam rice.

Edit. Just realize it's the same place. Weird name -_-

I didn't eat there, only went to take a look when I was in the area. Saw it from my KSL hotel room. Sure looks to have a wider range of food compared to Cedar Point, though the latter is more spacious.

Yup, the name ... I'd to note that down, otherwise I can never remember it. =:p

Went to massage parlour with wife yesterday, the one just outside KSL. Chose the 2 in 1 package for RM50. It's very painful for me but I feel very relax when reach back home. Got a good sleep last night. Very young boss, 22 yo chap and still studying in SG.

Thanks for sharing these information. Think my friend will be interested in the message. :D

Will try the food at Marmolada Food Court 大家勝 next time I'm there. It does seem to have a wider variety of food. :)

Googled "Marmolada" and it's a mountain in Italy. Now it makes more sense to me. :s13:

Looks like an evening/night one, day time it's pretty quiet/bare. I think even with Cedar Point, about 5pm onwards.

Ah, group of you is safety in numbers, so to speak. =:p

Not the one next to bah ku teh, but the one further down from Century, that is, when I walk from KSL past Century's entrance, then further up to the street corner, like on the way to Holiday Plaza. I used to have dinner there, until that crab brought my bill to nearly RM100. Now I walk a little further to Cedar Point instead. :s13:

No car either; 107, CW1, S1, IM17, and the occasional cab are my mode of transport. :D

Which website do you use to book rm at KSL? Any diff between the apartment vs Hotel side for one nite stay? How do you get from CIQ to KSL w/o a car?

- KSL Resorts' own website.

- Have explained in my post, please see previous page.

- From CIQ, walk over to JB Sentral via the link bridge, go down to the bus station on the left. From JB Sentral bus station, take either IM17 or S1 (RM1.50/pax) to KSL.
