Hi everyone,

I wanted to check if this kind of weekend trip to KL makes sense.

29 May Friday 7 pm wait at Tai Seng Grantral mall, for grassland coach bus to KL. maybe reach KL in 7 hours?

1 June Monday day depart KL at 2 pm smd reach Singapore in 7 hours?

Wish I could take other days but it's incredibly hard for my GF to take leave and air tickets and ETS are too expensive.

Makes sense if you have a hotel for 3 nights. I think the ETS is worthwhile. It is a shorter ride though you have to purchase a ticket for the Tebrau Shuttle to cross the Causeway.

I just checked for ETS. The tickets are fully sold out ..:(
I hope your destination is Berjaya Times Square and not TBS, for your arrival at KL.

Just realised that you are planning for the Vesak Day long weekend. Good luck on the road, as the checkpoints and highway will likely be crowded.

In the end, I booked Eltabina Express, pick up at The Plaza at Beach Road and drop off at Berjaya Times Square.

KL was a compromise, I would have preferred either Bangkok or Taipei but all air tickets are so expensive for the Vesak Day weekend 🫠

I already planning to see Seri Negara but not sure what else as I had visited KL's museums, historical neighborhoods, etc.

I stayed bukit bintang. Shop in pavilion and trx most of the time. Go out use grab since there r a few of us. Also grab to genting and back. Genting quite disappointing. Mostly indoors. Missed the outdoors of old times.

Genting unless the outside is more cooling and misty than shopping mall, quite boring trapped there with SG expensive food and not much to do. KL more options.

That day was raining, so quite misty. Took the cable car down all misty and raining. Haha.

Thanks for pointing out a new attraction in KL to me that has nothing to do with shopping malls. Too bad 118 will open only in August. Have you visited Amcorp Mall yet? Are you one for hikes and the Skyline Luge?

Yes, I quite like hikes and urban exploration. I really love walking around the streets of foreign cities. I love walking the streets of Tokyo, Seoul, taipei and even bangkok endlessly. Unfortunately KL is not very walkable.

You're very right. KL is not walkable. The walkway can suddenly disappear, got pot holes etc. Even most of the traffic lights r not working. Need to cross the road with cars coming at u, but at least the drivers are kind enough to slow down or stop. Penang on the other hand, is good for walking. You can try Penang next time.

Has anyone here ever been to Zoo Negera and KL Bird Park?

I am wondering if its worth it as someone who like to visit zoos.

foreigners get charged 2X or 3X more than locals is an immediate turnoff for most MY attractions. Not say they are "famous" to begin with
