actually if you factor in the check-in for flight, shuttling to KL city centre, it'll come to almost the same amount of time taking express coach.

However its more tiring taking a bus then a plane even though it might add up to only a difference of 1-2 hours

Not really. Get a good bus with good entertainment system and massage chair. Aft 2 movies you should be able to reach KL without the hassle of changing mode of transport.

Personally, I still prefer bus than the plane. However, most of the time I drive up.

For me, by SQ, from my house to KL hotel doorstep, about 4 hours, factoring in all the land transport to and from airport.

Not sure if budget airlines have slight delays.

And I stay far away from the airport.

agree with that. So, normally if I go back, I will take bus from Singapore to KL. I used to take StarMart express and buy the ticket from this online website, www.busonlineticket.com. As I always work until very late, I have no time to go to golden mile and buy ticket.

For me, self drive from my house to KL hotel doorstep, about 3.5 hours, when there is no long queue at the customs :)

Bukit Bintang dun hv. The nearest should be KLCC outlet.

Ya, you can walk from BB to KLCC through Pavalion.. just watch out for the sign above your head when you enter Pavalion main entrance. I think you will walk pass the information counter walking through the cinema stretch (on your left) all the way to the back, you will see an esculator going downward, follow that direction you will see Hydro Majesty hotel..there is a small short road besides it, walk right through it (make sure the hotel is on your left), once you reach the end of the road, you will see the Aquarium of KLCC.... don't be too happy, there is an equal distance walk to Twin Tower.

Walk into Aquarium (basement), you see a food court on your left, turn into the food court and walk up the stairs or esculator to get above ground. Once off the building above ground, just get out in front of you, you will see Twin Tower...

Price seem alright (S$55 2-way) but not sure how are the seats.

Price is alright. Just some info:

sitting lounge at Novena Office - with drinks and maybe snacks
Booking can be by phone in and expected to pay only 2 wks before departure.
on board coach - botlle of drinking water, some biscuit or snack before departure.
26 seaters, normal with self entertainment system - bring your own head phone
Normal head phone you can get any where, not sure where to find, go DAISO either at
Plaza Singapura or IMM for $2/pair
Those holding Sony Errickson hp, hte head set can be use, but bit too short
Journey time ~5hrs, alight at Bangsar LRT, 1 stop away from Central station (Very close to
Mid Valley but you can't xcross over from here)
No surcharge throughout the year, and kids half price.

Comfort stop
SG-KL - only once, to KL - stops usually with muslim stalls unlike the other operator. I don't know what is the different. This is what my colleague told me as he didn't like it. can't get food he like.
KL-SG - only once, but stop has a mini supermarket selling local products.

The seats are three per aisle, one pair on the right and one single on the left.

First Coach also leaves from The Plaza (Beach Road) other than Novena (which has MRT)
Buses are well maintained. They have no online booking so you still have to go to their office
to make payment. Speed wise I feel they are quite fast. The stop between SG-KL is very basic, only
toilet break and some converted vans selling things. The KL-SG stop is the stop I like, has a supermarket
selling alot of variety of local products. Very convenient.
