I foresee a possible problem.

The current FnB owners see people play the loopholes, complain to gov, nothing is being done.

They will think "Cannot beat them, join them lor".

They rent their own landed and starting selling their FnB from "home".

This is when **** starts hitting the fan.

It’s obviously a legal offence to operate a commercial restaurant/cafe at a residential address, avoid taxes, regulations etc. Another issue is food hygiene.

But the whites are closing both eyes because of high rentals due to uncontrolled inflation.

Same goes for PMDs and bicycles on roads, disregarding traffic rules but LTA/TP act blur live longer. They have no answer to rising COE prices and foreigners reserving these good delivery/ride jobs for sinkies.
Delivery job no longer exclusive to sinkie hor.

It's about fairness in paying taxes. This one is between bosses. Not our problem for employees.

Who says they don't need to pay tax

I would think there's a record with government these people are running a home based business
That record will be given to IRAS

some charge more than actual Michelin restaurants, no overhead no rental yet priced high as ****. I remember got one fella charging almost same price as Odette. He is definitely far from chef Royer but is fully booked. This guy's estimate not far off, these home chefs raking in big money.
