Hey guys, im thinking to go clearvision for its Trans Epi-LASIK. There are several blog reviews of this clinic. So i think the standard should be not bad or else they wouldnt dare to blog so much about it.

Any thoughts or feedback from fellow hwzers? :)

First, you have to make sure that the bloggers are not sponsored so they can really make honest feedback. Many things go on in the dark side of online marketing...

IMO, the most important thing is to find a honest and ethical doctor. Again, there is a dark side here...

May the force be with you!

does paying full cash/amount cheaper then paying by installment ? as i know some clinic/store pay full amount will have 10% or 15% cheaper for you.

Im interested to do Lasik recently too. Can the costs be paid via instalments using SCB or UOB credit card? So far any free public seminars or consultations?

Anyone tried Eagle Eye Centre? How to get the referral discount? Or do they have any forum lately? Can PM me.

And are the post assessment after the surgery free? Or need to pay and pay for follow up and follow tests and medications?

I'm doing research to find which clinic to do my lasik as well. not sure if I should do lasik or epilasik or trans epilasik. Anyway, here to add to the list:

lsc, 6 or 12 months 0% instalment with UOB, OCBC & Maybank

clearvision eye clinic, 6 or 12 months 0% instalment with citibank, UOB, OCBC, Maybank, standchard (I saw from the website there's a forum on the 19th march)

currently i'm leaning towards clearvision, my friend recently did it and the result is good.

EEC:
The post assessment after the surgery is not free.
Yes, we are require to pay for follow up and follow tests and medications.

Referral discount has to get from ppl went b4, but now not many want to share as require their IC & phone number.

I decided to go EEC, as I searched up some review on dayre & blogspot, a few ppl went to EEC (not sponsor) , they said the result is good. And able to do assessment & surgery on the same day. It is convenience for working adult like me. Haha

I met difficulty too, any kind soul can lend me? (if can, pls pm me)
I book to go next Thur.

Just wanna share my research about lasik.
In total I went for 3 talk by 3 different company

The first I went was LSC, the talk is covered with slides and showing picture of how the lasik is being done.they offer a range of lasik services.
LASIK
EPI-LASIK & LASEK
ReLEx® SMILE
But they mostly promote relex smile , this technology is relatively newer compared to those lasik and epi lasik

The second talk I went was Shinagawa Eye Centre, the talk start by explaining various eyes sight problem such as myopia laohua etc. they also offer various services from normal lasik to epic lasik.
But they mostly promote their lasik package. Where by healing and downtime is faster.

The third talk I went was with Clearvision, this talk is the most detailed of the 3 I went, as it covered all the lasik treatment out in the market and the history for it.
Their main market package is the trans epi lasik.

In summary,relax smile go lsc
fast recovery and fast vision go for Shinagawa
no cut but longer recovery go for Clearvision

but all the clinic offer ranges of services, but if they are good at a certain technology I believe they will put in the marketing

I not sure if ECC and SNEC have any talk. I would like to attend also.

Just to share my post surgery experience on trans-epilasik from clearvision. I wont be go on details on how operation goes as u can find videos on youtube explaining it (search for trans prk, they are the same as trans epi lasik).

I went for the operation last week on Monday 4th April 2016.
My vision deteriorates during the 1st 3 days . Everything is so blur that i cant see clearly whether it is near or far, I am more blind than before my surgery. Imagine when u look at the traffic light, instead of 3 lights, U see 3 rings.
I went back for review on the 3rd day, doc said my cornea is 60% healed.
The 4th day was the worst, i cant even see my own handwriting.
On the 5th day, vision started to get better but deteriorates again on the 6th. Now looking at the traffic light again, instead of 3 rings, i see 3 odd shaped starbursts.
On the 6th day, I had my protective contact lens removed. Doc commented that my corneas recover slower than expected.
On the 7th and 8th day, i finally can see things on my phone screen, but not sharp. The starbursts on the traffic lights seems 'smaller' too.

Today the 9th day, i finally can see on my computer screen and type all these but with 200% zoom (windows have a useful application call magnifier).

I dont know when my vision will go back to normal, or at least functional enough for me to go back to work.
During the talk, the doctor promised that i should be able to go back to work after a week, but today my vision is very blurry.

If you guys are thinking going for any refractive surgery, especially if your job requires u to stare at computer, you better think again.

Hey, I'm interested to do it at Clearvision. May I know what was your degree before you went for the trans epi lasik?

Hello libertizer, mind sharing your pre and post Trans EpiLasik cornea thickness?

Hi Chyirin, my cornea thickness before the Trans EpiLasik is about 510µm. The doc did not tell me about the thickness post op. I shall ask him during my next visit.

are you getting better slready?
Hi eyz, my vision is still quite blurry, but better than past few days. For example, now i can read the text on the newspaper (although it is still quite blurry), but still cant read any fine prints by those banks or telco advertisements.
