Did anyone hear of W Eye Clinic? If so, mind to kindly share your experience about that clinic. It's a rather new eye clinic - 3yo if I'm not wrong, but the eye surgeon has over 20 years of experience in the RSAF.

appointment in a week time, still undecided...should i do monovision lasik or full distance lasik. knew that it's pretty much on me, how i can adapt to it.. Just like to hear some advices, comments around..

i did lasik at singapore national eye centre before. Do you mind the pain? When the surgeon remove the membrane on your eyes, it will be painful. If you are afraid of pain, i will not recommend lasik surgery for 175 degrees myopia.

I assumed that u have presbyopia since u are considering for monovision. imho, If u are having difficulty in focusing near object, it is going to be worse after the lasik.
The monovision lasik will leave one of your eye with residue degree of 50 to 75degree.

I am no doc, but think about this.
Will monovision gonna help u in the longer term? Cos you are 40 yrs old now, and will the presbyopia worsen further?

Can u get used to 'unbalanced' vision? Maybe try putting on contact lens to mimic the experience of monovision.

Is it worth to put your eyes under the knife to correct 175 or less degree? Considering that u might still need reading glasses after lasik, not to mention all the side effects that the lasik bring.

Ive have some question regarding the above surgery, i heard from some people that Lasik causes complications as you age? Is that true? Plus, if i were to go for the surgery, does that mean i can watch TV very close, read book in the dark all these doesn affect my vision any more?

Not really. If you have good eye care habits, it should be fine. Or you may consider enhancement surgery...

tomorrow is D-day for my lasik. I opt for Trans-epi lasik by Clear Vision.

I am not a blogger though but I do have a blog where I write what I wanted. I will document down the process of my eye recovery there so I don't need keep repeating to others when they ask abt my experience.

Did assessment today. After seeing 3 other doctors, encountered variety of issues before even scheduling any surgery. Today finally scheduled to go ahead with Lasik. In two weeks though. Can't wait. Subscribed and will read as much in this thread as possible.

Lasik is the best thing i did...no regrets.
but now i have a lao hua so still need reading glasses. Is better than having glasses all the time though

i went to Paragon (laser eye clinic?), eagle eye, shinagawa and finally that day Dr Lee Hung Ming at gleneagles. many issues, confusion, contradiction along the way. Hope things go well when go do with dr lee hung ming in 2 weeks.

Wow if got issues chances of dry eyes are very high. Dry eyes is like blurred vision in front of computer.

I did my my epilasik surgery from clearvision. my degree was very imbalanced. my vision became close to perfect after surgery.

i had been informed that vision recovery will take 1 week, while it may take 6 months for the vision to stabilise. but it is actually faster, my vision is 6/6 about 2 months after the surgery. dr ho is very experienced and friendly!
