My personal experience with EEC was bad, leaving me some minor degrees/side effects in both my eyes. Their after service wasn’t that great.

I advise you to research more and check out others :)

Hi all. I jumped the gun and made an appt for lasik procedure with EEC for Thursday 18th July. I told them I want to do the checks and surgery on the same day, if possible.

But came back home last night and read through many pages of this thread. Seems like EEC is not exactly the top choice. Seems like Shinagawa is really popular. Or even Clearvision.

Anyone got suggestions? Scared that I am making the wrong choice for EEC sia.

Thanks!

I was thinking of going for the eye check first then think.

If given a choice now and can redo, who would you have chosen?

Like a lot of mixed reviews about EEC. Did Dr J.T. do for you?

Probably, Shinagawa or ClearVision. Definitely will give EEC a pass, not even for a eye check.

Yes, Dr J.T did for me. Most reviews are sponsored.

1 I had my epilasik done at eec on a Wednesday afternoon.
I got back to work Tuesday
So total of 3 days mc only + weekend, no annual leave

2 I don't drive, sorry.

3 My doctor said mine actually got overcorrected which is okay and gives me allowance in case my eyes regress.

Thanks for your reply! Which doc at eec?

Was yours epi-lasik or lasik? I read that eyesight may take up to 2yrs to clear up for epi-lasik due to corneal haze. Corneal haze apparently spontaneously clears up by itself after two years. Before that, many corneal haze may appear like residual degree.

Almost all reviews on Clearvision are sponsored. Shinagawa altgough v popular, there have also been two forumers who had some issue with their eyesight after their procedure at Shinagawa. So i guess it really depends on the individual cornea recovery post-op.

You can also consider Dr Lee Hung Ming. Two friends did lasik with him about a decade ago and still problem free.

As there are not many people who did ICL in this thread, hope you will be able to reply.

1) Do you experience any glare/ halos with ICL? I read that some people who did ICL suffer from glare and halos too.

2) what happens when you eventually have presbyopia? Do you take out your ICL and replace a new pair?

3) What happens when you need cataract surgery? do they remove the ICL and then just correct your myopia with the new lense?

4) the holes that they create in your eye to prevent glaucoma, are the holes permanent? In the unfortunate event that ICL causes problems and one have to remove them, would the holes then heal naturally?

Thanks alot!

reviews by bloggers as well as on youtube. if you read the reviews/ watch the youtube by these bloggers, they will indicate a disclaimer at the bottome that Clear Vision actually sponsored their surgery.

1) the halos will clear up after some time.

2) this i really no answer. you have to wait till your eyesight stabilize before going for op? if too young, the doc will advise you to wait cos of your age. they can remove the lens but to replace the lens, well i guess its possible but you have to pay again?

3) no idea. if cataract, the same doc will do the op for me again.

4) i did it so long ago in 2012. the holes is to insert the lens inside. this you have to ask the doc.

bottom line is you pay much more for ICL than lasik. not everybody is willing to pay this cost. i did mine at 8k plus. but it gives me the result i want. not every doc can do an ICL.

my experience with EEC was great. SNEC could not do this op for me. so i found EEC after that. but i did not do lasik. i did ICL instead due to thin corneas. since 2012, i had perfect eyesight.

I just did my LASIK pre assessment at TTSH with Prof Heng and was quoted this price. Can I check with you guys if this is a reasonable price? I’ve already paid $270 for the assessment and consultation.

Hello everyone!

Can someone who has done LASIK with Dr Julian Theng at Eagle Eye Centre share your referral detail with me please?

Only your name is required for the referral. I’ve checked with them.

Thank you in advance!

Hi everyone. So far i have went for 2 assessments, one at shinagawa and another at clear vision.

#1 Shinagawa @ dr lee
First assessment told me everything was perfect except i had mild dry eyes so gave me eye drops to apply for 2 weeks. After going back yesterday, told me still had dry eyes so i was given gel ontop on drops to apply for 3 weeks. Decided to give up and look for another clinic

#2 clear vision @dr ho
Checked everything and seems perfect, gave green light for surgery. Seems like im going to go for clear vision.

Just wanna check if i should do lasik 2 weeks before i go overseas? Will that cause any harm to my eyes? Cause my schedule is quite packed. Also, both clinics has quite a difference in terms of the throughout experience
