that's why i only read manga i can understand from only pictures alone (ie. sports/action manga and not things like detective kindaichi), and i managed to ignore the phrase ”赤坊主" for like 10 times before I finally went to ask my friend what it meant.. but then i must say that I have read slamdunk about 10 years earlier in chinese, so i can still grasp the story..
do u remember how u used to read to improve ur english/chinese when u were young? read in context, skip all the words u don't know, check dictionary for only those that're critical in understanding the story (unless ur teacher insisted that u keep a logbook for new vocab), if u see a word often enough, u'll eventually pick it up.. at least that's how i read, whether it's japanese, english or chinese..
and now i'm learning from my ds lite
...your learning method is similar to mine.Probably cause this is a common method.I am also a DSL person....lolz.Probably going for all those detective/novel games...lolz.
