For all those looking for dictionaries, you might want to find out more about the epwing format used widely for dictionaries in Japan.

Here's some info about epwing.
http://www.hloeffler.info/epwing/epwing_format.html

What to use for each platform-----

For windows = http://hishida.s271.xrea.com/download/ebpocket/ebwin302bu.exe

For Windows Mobile devices (your device needs to have japanese language support to run this program correctly i.e CE star) = http://hishida.s271.xrea.com/download/ebpocket/ebppc129a_free.zip

For iphone/ipod = Ebpocket for iphone/ipod on itunes app store

And for the files to use with these programs.... just do a simple search for them as they are floating all over the net, especially in the chinese side but for the uninitiated, there is always demoniod ...cough..12gb...cough....

come come...

is BUNKA good?

Ok lah, but now I find that booking for their classes are very hard if you are free only on the weekends...by the time you are starting on the next class, it would be 1-2 months later. They never really gauge the amount of people completing the class and wanting to go on at around the same timeslot...

Hi I am in Bunka now, the situation stated above will occur if you take Ele1 & Ele2, after that Int1 to 4 will be non-stop assuming you
1. pass the tests all the way ( for every Int level )
2. not drop out and choose another day to start a new level after a course has ended ( which will put you on waiting list if the class is full that's coming from the previous level, and you have to wait for others to drop out for you to join )

By non-stop means e.g. your Int1 class ends on this Wed, therefore your Int2 class will start next wed and so all till Int4...

They are not able to gauge beause they are very low on manpower & pretty much overworked everytime I go there...

For elementary 1 and 2, I felt the tests are quite ok, if got study can pass one...for intermediate I heard that it would be much harder because of the verbs they would ask you to learn and also starting from that course they would be teaching kanji also...

The tests are pretty much ok coz the sensei will do a lesson review which covers most of the test content.

The pace for Int-1 is much faster than Int-2. But the Kanji for Int-1 should be manageable if you know Chinese. :s13:

Nah..The sensei will give lots and lots of hints and can get above 90 easily :s12:. Seriously. I'm not kidding. Only that I'm not used to their textbook and still have 2 more Int 2 lessons left. Going to jump ship to IKOMA. Lesson begins this fri..:s22:
