Either

1. Go to Int2 or Int3 and start from there to acclimatise yourself [ you should be able to do the homework, just work on the speech and listening whenever it's your turn to respond ]

2. Go sign up for PA1 [ by virtue of your JLPT3 ] and get prepared to be stuck there for a long time until the sensei feels you are up to scratch to get to next level [ else it's not fair to those who have promoted and share the same classroom with you ].

OR

3. Take up a individual class and highlight on those issues that you feel you are weak to the sensei, sensei will then customise something for you, which you can work on, a bit costly though, but you can try doing it on a 1hour per week basis, so still quite manageable which is what I am doing now, to prepare myself before starting group PA1 lessons.

I feel like im just a beginner who cant speak and listen to japanese at all, ok maybe alittle, and i mean very little, despite a Jlpt3 cert. Blame myself for studyin blindly.

Option1 seems to be a better choice for me, but Im afraid I cant even catch up with the teachin speed, as I feel most classes at this stage will be conducted in mostly Japanese?

I have a few friends, very very competitive. Cannot speak well but wanna score very good for JLPT. Not only that, they look down on those ppl who just pass their JLPT but can speak very well.

But i still have a long way to go, my senior studied Japanese for 10 years, married a Japanese wife and now is almost 90% Japanese already, LOL!

I like to have BOTH capabilities in my pocket, if your friends are really that competitive, the scenario you described would not occur, I don't mean any offence, but they seems to be able to [ or want to ] function well in a academically competitive environment. A real competitive person will want to achieve everything that is possible & things that others say are not possible...

I think you would probably look at them with some amusement when *they look down on those ppl who just pass their JLPT but can speak very well.* like I do.

"...look down on those..." ? I think it's more like jealousy, green green jealousy.

Well, I sure won't mind having a japanese as a spouse ha ha...

Not mostly in Japanese, more like half, but nothing a JLPT3 holder like you cannot handle.

That's why I say you start at a lower level [ best at least 2 levels lower ], so that you would not be distracted by the homework, class lessons, as you probably already know them. Then you only have to focus on the listening and speaking, give it a few months of lessons [ or longer ], your speaking & listening level, should be able to be on par with your reading and writing by then.

After that, you can consider going to PA1...

$235.40 for 4hour block for individual lessons, you can allocate it in any way you like, 2hours each lesson once a week, once a week 1 hour, whatever, very flexible, so long the sensei has the available time slot to fit in [ open to discussion between you and sensei ].

P.S. Try the evaluation test for those to progress to Int2, see if you can score very high [ like 85+ % ], if you can do it, then you can try signing up for that level, if not, you should just attend from Int1 onwards to take it as a revision for yourself, since not enough time to prep for this year's level2 anyway, might as well take it easy and built your capabilities strongly for next year.

There's a oral [ speaking cum listening ] test at the end of every level, if that interest you...

No comments lar. I am not qualified at the moment to comment on this [ many of you are, however ]. Not even started PA1 yet, why not consult sensei on this ?

What is the exact meaning the sentence is trying to say in English ? [ roughly understand but ... ] Maybe the sentence structure can be sorted out if you use translation to break it down part by part.

Some [ will not mention how many, otherwise people at bunka will know who I am ], are taking at group class, some at individual class, not mixed in a any certain level, but finish group class in it's entirely for a complete course and finish other levels completely individually.

Not this week grp, next week individual, then another week grp, in case people get the wrong idea.

There are always people like that in the world who can do seemingly impossible things [ solve rubiks cube in 20sec / run marathons in 2hour 10mins / eat 68 hotdogs in 10mins ], question is, do we want to aspire to be like that.

Money is always a good motivator besides interest...

When you say どうやって言う.. it refers to the way of doing it, which is by mouth/speaking.

Oh by the way, don't take me too seriously.

but i stand corrected for 通じます. 通じます is a 自動詞、should use が. i think は should be ok too in this case.

何と言う should be the correct way of saying.
は/が　does not have anything to do with what kind of verb. More like which is the subject.
If you want to use 文法的.. you would likely need に.. as in 文法的に
