can i have a recommendation for an N3 study guides that one can buy at kino?
would be thankful if picture is provided as well.

You can check if Shin Kanzen Master has any N3 books.

It is divided into several books with each covering a different topic like Grammar, Vocab, Kanji, Listening.

Bunka is starting a unlimited lesson package for the entire elementary stage at $750 which means you can retake as many times as you want from other teacher's classes the lesson that you didn't understand in your own class.

Also, they are apparently implementing a free 1.5hr japanese language introductory lesson.

Looks like Bunka is finally starting to change for the better after the horrendous decision to create an E3

they took the E1+E2 syllabus and split it into 3 instead of 2; apparently to cater for complaints that the original was too fast...

The Minna No Nihongo textbook and English/ Chinese explanation notes with exercises will be provided. The textbook is good enough so just relax and have fun in class. If you do not know your hiragana yet, it would be good to start learning it before you start the class.

From what I heard Ikoma is the best. It may be expensive but the review is unanimous. It is professional and effective, especially the notes. Pay more but you get better service, why not?

i would recommend bunka over ikoma for up to intermediate 4 level.
esp the starting few lessons. coz bunka learns all the various forms first. this will result in greater understanding if say u watch jap drama or something like that.
that being said. the learning curve is slightly steeper over at bunka.

I don't think the learning curve would be steeper with the implementation of E3. But like what i mentioned a few post ago, the unlimited lesson package for the elementary stage is an added advantage.

Having been at Bunka for almost 2.5years now, I'd say it's a good school and the awesome teachers are still here. If you need help on which teacher's class to sign up for, you can pm me.

Btw, @dimitrican sensei, i get what you meant abt the level of PA3 now. It's weird that the level of proficiency of students in my PA3 class seems to be lower than those in PA2. But in PA3, the focus transits back to grammar which is a good thing for jlpt haha.

I assume those who complained that E1, E2 is fast obviously haven't been to I1 yet. In I1, they'll really know what it means by fast.

Then again, it's been so very long ago since my I1. Things might have changed since then...

E1+2 is alright in my opinion. if u put in the effort to do the homework and such. should be no issue at all.

i signed up for Ikoma classes, but our class ended up chit chatting with sensei about manga/anime/cosplay/games/jpop/drama stuffs esp. during break, mostly in Japanese.
It was really enjoyable.

But really can learn a lot just by conversing in Japanese, sometimes if our grammar isn't right she'll correct it for us.

does anyone have any good private teacher without horrible rates to recommend?

I'm looking for a conversational jap native teacher. Just conversational only. I'm currently learning under a private teach, taking N2 in July (but not the hardworking type), but don't know how to speak at all. Current teacher doesn't allow recording for conversation practise so I decided to look for others to assist. I've some topics sometimes I want to talk about, I don't want to stop the flow of conversation to write stuff to make the conversation unnatural. I want a teach to correct me immediately and help me construct while speaking. So I need to record to listen back. Of course, writing down is essential, but more on the recording and listen back.

Any recommendations? thanks!!!

I checked once before, online, not native, she said SGD80 per hour for conversation which is too steep for me.

Or anyone tried jcss conversational class before? Okay? Comments?

Also any comments on JCSS JLPT prep class?
