most likely it is due to a loose connector or the ribbon cable is having fault... I would suggest you make a scheduled visit to their service center to get it checked out...

Whether it is a driver issue can be tested easily. If you connect to an external monitor, does it display the same problems? The answer will most probably no. Chances are quite high that it is hardware problem since when you display the Windows Splash screen, it is already pinkish, it is most likely not related to drivers since the drivers are not loaded yet.

Have a prosperous Chinese New Year... HUAT AH!!!!

Thanks for your advice. If i send the set in, i wont be able to simulate the problem as i tried many times & the display is ok...

Since my warranty is still a long while b4 expiry, i will monitor first and will bring it in the moment it happens again. :)

My y580 have problems with internet connections. When i connect to the wifi, i can only use it for like 5-10mins before the web pages stops loading completely. I cant even go into google.com after that.
Same thing happens when i used ethernet cable. Other laptops and mobile devices do not have such problems so i dont think it is my internet problem but more of a notebook problem. Anyone faced this kind of problem too? Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Hi

Is this s a common issue?

When i plug my speakers in, the port seems faulty, like sometimes will decrease the sound, then back to normal... Driver issues or port faulty?

Thanks

Could be due to your speakers. Had this issue once on my desktop. The vol auto adjusts. Sometimes it goes up, before normalizing after sometime, and sometime it goes down. Try to see if u get the same issue when u connect the speakers to another device.
