With experience from the Kinect v2, I know that we need to power on the device for about 20-40 minutes for it to thermally stabalise before we could get reliable and accurate results for depth. This may be more due to the ToF nature of

the Kinect v2, but it could also perhaps be a reason why one is getting vastly different distances between each of the Intel RealSense 3D Cameras. I wonder if 1 could track the z position of the centre pixel over time to see if it is drifting?

Will the Dell Inspiron 15 7000, Dell Inspiron 24 7000, Dell Venue 8 7000 will have the capability to support fully be it extended or inbuilt, need to warm up first or not for the computer or sensor?

- lack of status light except for the power light, we need to know if our computer is NOT responding!
- Love its sleek form chassis
- 2 fans
- air flows from the back of the notebook than on the sides
- 2-in-1 laptop/tablet with 360-degree hinge (Inspiron 15 7000 Series(7568))
- price point alittle too high for me to digest

Can use the Intel RealSense Technology also for unlocking your car.

They use the depth camera to extract your facial contours and features to unlock your PC. Can implement in car in the same manner.

But probably also can add safeguards in place to ensure you wont be locked out. maybe some motion, face, hand waving as password like how u unlock your android device using pattern unlock.

Good idea, actually seems like alot of untap markets for the realsense technology and cam.
