Now is 8K UHD (4320p) which is even better than 4K UHD (2160p).

If Dell Inspirion 15 7000 has 8K UHD touchscreen, I guess the GPU will be over stress and over heated, even with 2 fans at full blast~

Battery life maybe became half also~

Ya. At the end of the day is just computer graphics.

I probably wait for a longer period before getting into the 4k bandwagon.. Heard 5k comme out.. As well

5k?! I haven’t even experience 4k :( now got 5k liao? Anyway answering my own question about Oculus Rift 4k support, there is no concrete news at this point of time but there are some rumours stating it might support and that will only be known at launch which is expected on Q1 2016, not far from now.

As we all know, the Dell Inspiron comes in many different flavors.

Oh sorry, I thought the model no is just 1 particular model, did not know about that. My last dell desktop was > 10 yrs ago.

i find 4k display overkill liao. until now really cannot justify the need for it. if can opt out the 4k display for lesser price, would be better. i think most consumers will prefer that.

Ask you guys arh... if you all are still students and you need a laptop for not just school but gaming too, what kind of specs will you all give priority to or would prefer in your laptop? :s11:

4k UHD screen is not important since I doubt the graphic card in laptops can run games at high detail. Moreover, the screen so small, I dont think it will make much of a difference. In fact it will take a hit on the long battery life too.

Gaming wise.. minimum 1080p on High settings i guess? SSD/SSHD is definitely a want for all gamers to reduce loading times. Bulk and weight would be secondary issue since you have to compromise if you want to run high end powerful games and media.

Given a choice.. i think the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 would be a great option (if its cheaper without the 4k UHD touchscreen), if not Alienware or Aftershock laptops.

I didn't know 4K or 8K will be hotter than older monitors. I thought CRT is the hotest

Hopefully Dell Inspiron 15 7000 is cool enough.

Dell Inspirion 15 7000 has the 4k UHD Touchscreen included. You can choose to opt out of it though. But nobody will want to unless it provides marginal savings for long battery life. :s13:

Anyway it seems that the Red back cover is limited to the FHD screen only. Black black cover has both according to their website.

Make sure you check carefully before your purchase! Dont blindly select red colour because its nice~!

Dell Inspirion 15 7000 opt out 4k UHD Touchscreen but no decrease in prices~?

I wonder if the cost to manufactured both type of screens are the same since touchscreen mobile phones screens are in production in huge production~

Week 1 – AIO Dell Inspiron 24 7000 with realsense technology and 3d depth- sensing camera
Week 2 – Laptop Dell Inspiron 15 7000 with 4k UHD screen
Week 3 – I am guessing be tablet Dell Venue 8 7000 coming up, with realsense?

AIO like Dell Inspiron 24 7000 can be made thicker with larger fans, since the whole AIO was not portable or battery powered. Having Intel realsense camera and their fun games, gamers would be using this AIO for 24/7, the air ventilation must be good~

So small. They should start inventing heatsink without motor for fan.

Will Dell Inspiron 15 7000 improve or redesign with our comments? :o

How good was the heat dissipation for Dell Inspiron 15 7000 besides the two fan? Will the keyboard or handrest area of the laptop be hot? Some notebooks damn hot 1 at the wrong area making using them for prolonged hours extremely uncomfortable

My sis using Dell laptop in office and sometimes bring home, she complained v hot :(

Not sure what model is she using but confirm plus chop not Inspiron 15 7000 :o

For your last point, yes right now the laptop that i am using to type gets hot on the left side of the keyboard and it is worse when i play dota... so i give up on dota as it is like chimney can make the 'horrr horrr horrr' fan sound so noisy :s13:
