The full black-red logo Inspiron 15 7000 looks nice and stealthy too. I may prefer it to the full red one. I have touched the actual unit of this Inspiron soft-rubber design, it feels more premium than the usual plastic casing ones. I think the rubber adds some more rigidity to the structure.

Same if given a choice i do not mind having the black Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop as well

The intelligently position of the exhaust vents (2 at the back and 1 on the left) prevent one from feeling the heat after prolonged usage making this laptop an excellent choice for right-handed mouse users.


What do you think? Is the exhaust vent an important factor to consider before you decide on a laptop?

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 multi exhaust vents sounds good on paper, but every laptop user will know after using the laptop for several months, dust will accumulate at those vents exhaust~

I am not sure if so much vents was a good idea, the whole motherboard, cpu and ram area maybe very dusty after a few mths of use, worst if those fans not user accessible, unable to vacuum off the thick dust~

you see the background is either military or airforce environment liao.. they use those laptops out in the field so need to be protected from the dust and whatnots..

yah, maybe Dell can make Dell Inspiron 15 7000 a hard shell, dust repeller screen and water resistance feature for army use~

which is why i like the back cover design so much for the Dell Inspiron 15 7000.

only 1 screw to unscrew, and u have access to all the main components liao. cleaning of the 2 fans of will not be an issue. less than 2 mins and u will be done.

last time when i wan to clear my macbook pro, headache ah. i think 8-10 screws.

Managed to touch the dell inspiron 15 7000 and dell venue 8 7000 at marina square gaincity today.

Personally felt that Inspiron 15 7000 is quite big for a laptop, the keyboard is considered small, it is not spread out edge to edge like usual laptops, in fact i felt that both sides of keyboard have so much empty space and why they dun want spread out the keyboard. Screen why, same, i can't see the difference of a 4k uhd vs normal hd. Like some mentioned, for a 15", it is really negligible.

I really like the dell venue 8 7000, the build in aluminum make it so sleek + realsense 3d camera, i am wow. A pity i dunno what happened to the display set or is it a dummy set, i can't on the set to test it.

I noted a total of 4 cameras, 1 in front, 3 behind. i always thot the realsense 3d camera, a conventional camera, an infrared camera, and an infrared laser projector will be through 1 camera, so it is actually via 3 separate cameras?

yes, not only fingerprints and facial scanners. if you really feel unsecure and have the money, a retina or iris scanner also can. Hahaha

Just a piece of advice, please dont vacuum your laptop PC, including the Dell Inspiron 15 7000. It will lead to static buildup. Use compressed air to blow out the dust when cleaning your laptop PC.

I think many would lose the 4K screen for longer battery life and cheaper price. However i also feel students today are exposed to the high ppi handphone screens that some may want to continue the same experience on their laptops.

Laptops over the years have gone down in pricing with better processing power, but the screen quality always remained poor. Even in expensive gaming laptops they started to use as standard good quality IPS 1080p screen a year ago.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 with 4K IPS touch screen is a first move to bring high quality screen to an affordable range while still packing powerful computing. Buyers on the look out for a new laptop may like what they see on this model since i do not see an alternative model to Dell's yet.

I also think that Dell Inspiron 15 7000 with 4K UHD touch screen will shorten the battery life.

But for students, their classroom now equipped with power plug, no problem for whatever duration they may be using~

I am not sure how many applications support 4K UHD, maybe youtube perhaps?

Will need to give a try on Inspiron 24 7000 and Inspiron 15 7000 then decide if which is the right one.

Gaming, making videos with green screen and Oculus headset for VR uses etc is more for teenagers.

imo Inspiron 24 7000 for you to use at home big big screen for u to watch movie/drama while Inspiron 15 7000 use if u need to use computer on the go ofcause you can even choose Dell XPS series laptop for ultrabook version
