Dell Inspirion 15 7000 can opt for FHD previously but now after checking the website they removed the Red and FHD option. Only left the 4k UHD Touchscreen black.

Izzit?? I just read someone mentioned in this thread can opt for fhd or uhd but no price difference??

Does this speed shift consume more resources or battery life of Dell Inspiron 24 7000 or Inspiron 15 7000 with Skylake processors?

If without Windows 10 , can Windows 8.1 or Windows harness the power of speed shift?

I thought is mainly how the CPU compute data. So Skylake will definitely be using power more efficiently than older generation processors regardless of the Windows OS, no?

Oh I thought 15" laptops usually come with an optical drive, and only ultrabooks normally come without it.

Maybe when the SSD M2 drops to a lower price, Dell might introduce Inspirion 15 without the 2.5" HDD/SSD bay but with 2 or more M2 slots.

 Dell Inspiron 24 7000 or Inspiron 15 7000 does not comes with DVD or blueray writer?

Such high specs and price should have all in one system including 4K UHD touchscreen and Intel realsense camera.

Even a $299 laptop with 15.6" screen comes with a dvd writer and usb 3.1~ :s22:

seems like consumers are shortchanged :(

AIOs were never suited for any hardcore gaming mah. :s22:

At the very most just those interactive 'kiddy' games.

Dell Inspirion 15 7000 and Dell Inspirion 24 7000 AIO are expensive ware above $1000, but they are not suitable for gaming? :s11:

If we purchase other gaming system, will there be Intel Realsense camera built in?

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 multi exhaust vents sounds good on paper, but every laptop user will know after using the laptop for several months, dust will accumulate at those vents exhaust~

I am not sure if so much vents was a good idea, the whole motherboard, cpu and ram area maybe very dusty after a few mths of use, worst if those fans not user accessible, unable to vacuum off the thick dust~ :s22:

dirty-fan-heatsink.jpg

Nice advise but so far my notebook is under my table for close to 2 years i can see dust but not bad as shown on the pic :)

With 3 vents, wouldn't the dell inspiron 15 7000 vents be much cleaner?

which is why i like the back cover design so much for the Dell Inspiron 15 7000.

only 1 screw to unscrew, and u have access to all the main components liao. cleaning of the 2 fans of will not be an issue. less than 2 mins and u will be done.

last time when i wan to clear my macbook pro, headache ah. i think 8-10 screws.

This is good to know. Only 1 screw for the Dell Inspiron 15 7000? Where is it located?

I just hope that removing the plate will be easy. Some ultrabook have damn many cache already the chassis making it removing the screw become damn difficult.

:s22: The higher specs of Dell Inspiron 24 7000 with Intel Realsense was not really affordable to many.

Do you meant that $1399 price no Intel realsense camera? seems like I would rather get another brand would be cheaper for similar specs.

Dell getting expensive for no reason. :s22:

Yea 1399 no realsense no touchscreen, about the standard price for such aio. The cheaper ones you seen are clearing old gen5 stocks.

A word to suggestion to Dell, you need to distinguish your realsense insprion from the normal aio. You should set up demo booth and let people try the feature. The inprion 24 7000 at j8 sit with the rest of the brands and the special realsense features is ignore by the window shoppers

What about Inspiron 15 7000?

So far what we have see is just a shutdown model. If any one could share the live one and attempt to play with it - will be appreciated :)

But the laptop for Dell Inspiron 15 7000 quite big so i was expecting better battery life than the predecessor...

Really ma? If that's the case, then Dell Inspiron 15 7000 has indeed done a very good job to push battery life :o

Duno leh, these days everything also battery not enough :s13:

must scold the parents these days. keep spoiling their kids. :s13:

apple actually quite good to students. they have this education price. when i bought my mbp, it was like $200 off from the normal price. got MS office student too.

i went to check on dell's page. they also have this education promo page. but when i access it, that page has no products. :s13:

Like that also become parents fault (love is unconditional) :s13:

If my kids ask for Dell Inspiron 15 7000 maybe i should thank god. Just hope they wont dive into the apple craze...

Problem is capacity. They fit a small battery in a big Dell Inspiron 15 7000 Laptop

I wonder if its possible for the 4k UHD Touchscreen such as the one installed in the Dell Inspirion 15 7000 to use a 1080p resolution when its not required. Means can toggle inbetween different resolutions.

Sony Xperia Z5 Premium has this technology in place to help preserve long battery life. The 4k screen is only used when watching media.

Think should be able to if they corporate such tricks into Dell Inspiron 15 7000 by limiting some mini pixels to drop the resolution in order to save more battery life.

I think z5 is more like not many technology uses 4k screen so defeats the purpose of having such high end display while draining the battery uselessly :o

Gotta agree to this. No idea why need 4K screen on a Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop when its only 15"...

Sadly why didnt the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 comes with it
Yah even tablet dell venue 8 7000 comes with realsense 3d camera. Or they going to market in newer laptop, since dell inspiron 15 7000 already have a supposedly strong selling point in 4k uhd screen.

yup 300bucks+ for Pro support 3yrs warranty with accidental damage cover

but for mine case i will save 50+ just to get the basic 3yrs hardware warranty + accidental damage instead of Pro support + accidental damage. I dont need the Pro support all i need is hardware wty & accidental damage cover for the laptop. $50+ more than enough for 1 week lunch

oohh so still need to add on 300+ for Dell Inspiron 15 7000 in order to get Pro support with acccidental damage cover :o

Caught the Dell Inspiron 24 7000 in real life at Best Denki.

Size of it to the wireless keyboard. Salesman were taking a break from set up, i cannot power it on sad to say. No Realsense action yet. :(

Side profile, the power cable into the base and it is the only cable you need!

Realsense 3D camera! Notice the big sensor which i think is the normal camera, the middle gear is the infrared projector and left is the infrared sensor

Standard pricing from Best. Dell also has another non-Realsense Inspiron AIO with quad core i5.

Look not bad, a pity did not see it at marina square gain city yesterday.

Really? Will the screen alone be enough to become a strong selling point for the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop?
