one of the more recent article on this intel technology.

http://www.pcworld.com/article/2972...ra-technology-is-already-the-star-of-idf.html

phone-100608579-large.jpg

this one simi phone ah. google one right.

seems like alot ppl interested in this technology, but again, still very early stage.

The phone should be from Intel and not google as report says "Krzanich showed the first prototype smartphone with a RealSense camera embedded inside. It will allow smartphones to be used to create 3D scans of objects, or even to act as motion sensors for computer games."

Krzanich is CEO of Intel inside huan :o

One thing for sure, google will definitely jump into the bandwagon on RealSense 3D camera. All the big brothers and even Dell wanna be the first to make this to be the next big thing~ Can make a lot of robots and command them with the wave of a hand lol!

wow! they can scan all fingers swirling and hand gestures to capture moving colorful 3D lines on the screen

how can they help in daily lives sitting on a pc? most likely this is aimed at gaming. i wonder if they can replace the mouse next time with Intel RealSense 3D Camera with Dell dell Inspiron 24 7000 :o

Intel RealSense 3D Camera with Dell dell Inspiron 24 7000 seems like just software detection~?

Intel® RealSense™ Camera uses depth-sensing technology and the PC scans more like you do. Use the added dimension to track 3D objects, control PC with hand gestures, or create a more lifelike video chat environment. Reinvented video using 3D camera chat lets you customize your background, and share content with friends as if you're in the same room together.

maybe Intel® RealSense™ Camera uses depth-sensing technology and the PC scans can function like a robot give freebies in an event~?

I've think of a good use of 3D RealSense Camera with Intel® RealSense™ technology and Windows Hello. They can start to scan different types of military models, and then use to track with fingers and hand movements to control them from the HQ. Like that NS can be down to <1year since every soldier will have a battalion of military robotic models loaded with full ammunition.

Then an intuitive user experience to bring imagination further is to build a rocket up to mars and moon lol.

Hope this Intel RealSense can amalgamate well along with 3D TVs and VR for more useful purpose.

I guess is just a software change to enable Intel Realsense to be used with TV and VR~?

Since kinect can do it why not Intel~?

Like that is song das!

I like how the Intel® RealSense™ Camera complements with DELL Inspiron 24 7000. Gesture is easy to make so won't be a difficult task.

Intel® RealSense™ Camera FTW~

Like that is purely software technology then shouldn't be too hard to detect more movement if they can twerk the system.

In future our fingers, hand movements and gestures will need better coordination hahaha. But they should do something easier for the handicap.

Intel 3D RealSense Camera with Intel® RealSense™ technology + Dell + Windows Hello = future?

I duno how they count the points now. Mine also stuck.

True. Thats why i prefer regular CPU at least can disassemble and change the spoilt components. I dont really need borderless also. its one of those things where its nice to have, but not needed.

Anyway back to main topic, at least nowadays 3d printers are more cheaper now, at least got some reason to buy devices which come equipped with the Intel RealSense 3D camera. Can scan your favourite items and clone and print them lol. 3D printing quite a lot of potential. i just read some article that some institute print human body parts :s22:

Hopefully the Oculus Rift will be release to consumer so that it can become more mainstream to complement with Dell's new tech PC devices with Intel® RealSense™ Camera .

But this Intel RealSense have the potential to revolutionise 3D scanners/printers once again. You no longer need to have huge machinery doing the scanning any more.

Hope to see small and portable 3D scanner/printer on the market soon. :s12:
