Anyone looking more on the Dell Inspiron 15 notebooks too? I think its usage is more practical.

Yes, personally most ppl have not test out the new Intel RealSense Camera, from what we read it supposedly is better. We need to test it on games, applications to have a better picture on its accuracy.

Not just accuracy though. Sensitivity is key too. Sometimes it gets very frustrating when you are trying to play a game in Xbox or kinect and it doesn't even recognize your existence :s22:

But so far, we have seen images that show how Real sense have map out key points of human body to recognize the slightest movements. So hopefully it performs slight better. :s8:

A quick question though... what would you guys use the real sense technology for? Other than playing games obviously.. haha.

3D modelling is the first thing that comes to mind. Freely zoom in and out of models sounds fun, quick and cool.

I wonder if one can capture animation using the RealSense camera too... :s22:

Could be used in conjunction with VR glasses to mimic movements ( a more realistic VR approach?) .

Well image recognition like in camera apps are able to detect and recognize facial shapes so I guess they can match body ,arms and finger movements too with some tweaking.

I guess if it could somehow synchronise with voice programs like siri , google now, cortana we could come up with a personalised simulated A.I which unlocks your computer or any security devices when they identify you via voice or face .

Predicting your moods through facial expressions ,lip reading ?

Behaviour reading and studying stuff.

Boss reporting in.

Please note hor, the definition of useful post is not sharing part or the whole article from other sites and then you add one sentence of your thought. Anybody can do that. What we want to see is added value.

Like your own experiences with the products or encounter any similar products and also pros and cons, what would help make the product/user experience a little better etc.

Hope that clarifies.

In that case, will change the way to post it then. :(

I see its potential in replacing the 2D conventional camera on all smart TVs and effectively remove the need for a remote control. :)

Is it going to be free on the Realsense game platform on Intel website?

That depends on the points and rewards left. LOL.

Btw, their monitors have been at excellent price for the entry IPS ones. Got a lot for many people, and also one set of S2340L (the thing to get then) just for testing and diagnostics purposes. Maybe can consider monitor if other things run out...

Im using the Dell S2340L monitor currently. Very satisfied. almost got border though.. not borderless?

watch anime and play games very swee. i highly recommend. good for people with tight budget too. sadly prices quite sticky.. but nevertheless still affordable.

The new S2316H is even better with semi-matte coating and also integrated speakers.

noted with thanks.

Give you an example:

In terms of the accuracy of real sense 3D camera, how well do you all think it will fare?

You can share a portion of the article. Then maybe add on similar experience like X box, kinect and talk about their accuracy in the sensors, the frustrations that you have encountered and what you hope to experience in Dell's products.

Boss here give enough hints liao hor...;)

hmm.. let me see... i will use it to... improve my still photography and which allows me to change the focus or measure real distances in a photo after it has already been shot. I hope the price-point for it will be low enough for me to invest upon though.

Performing Realistic Avatars, doing faceshift, 3Dme scans, 3D Scanning for 3D Printouts doesn't really entice me to sign up for it, at this point of time. :o

If anyone is keen, this realsense which DELL is going to launch with its upcoming Dell Tablet AIO PC was formerly known as Intel Perceptual Computing
