But Intel RealSense Camera with RealSense Technology can only cover 1 meter, suitable for Kinect meh?

Well... If Microsoft took the Intel RealSense 3D Camera using RealSense Technology and nuild into kinect, I am sure they will figure that out!

Dun think Miscrosoft will interested in this Intel RealSense 3D Camera with RealSense Technology for their Xbox series..

For serious gamers, I think most of them prefer to use games controller or joystick.

Well... More the merrier if it improves accuracy etc? Unless they have something better than Intel RealSense 3D Camera using RealSense Technology up their sleeves?

Waku up bxxxx and point 3rd finger @ camera ! computer start-up :s13:

the Intel RealSense 3D camera can only recognise certain hand motions so 3rd finger may not be recognised.

based on the info, hand motions like spreadfinger, fist, thumbs up, thumbs down, v sign and 2 fingers pinch open may be used.

also there might be an update to the Intel RealSense Technology as they stated face identification, emotion and pulse estimation may be coming soon.

No problem with 3rd finger ba as Intel RealSense 3D camera can detect up to 22 points...=:p

Thought you wanna try Windows 10 hello instead of Intel Realsense Camera Technology.

That means you dun want try Fingerprint scan on Windows 10 Hello ?

fingerprint scanner can only use one function which is to scan fingerprints but if you have Intel RealSense 3D camera, you can use many other functions like fingerprints, facial detection, hand motions, removal of backgrounds etc.

so it make sense to get Intel camera than a fingerprint scanner after all it work with Windows 10 Hello.

I think the next next iteration of realsense it will have eyes retina scanning, which make more sense than finger print and so much cooler

anything new to talk about? or still talking about intel realsense?

waiting for admin to announce got intel booth at sitex :s13:

I think Dell Inspiron 24 7000 will be a ideal choice to use at home, the 24" screen size plus the Intel RealSense 3D Camera with Intel RealSense technology, a lot of thing can be done quicker and easier. It will also save our workspace but the only concern right now the price. :o

Or I should upgrade my OS to Windows 10 and try their Windows Hello?!

You need a fingerprint scanner or the Intel RealSense 3D camera for face recognition if you want to use Windows Hello for login.

Yeah, either fingerprint scanner or Intel RealSense 3D camera will work with Windows Hello login.

The list of games currently supported by Intel RealSense does not seem to appeal to the serious gamer.

https://appshowcase.intel.com/en-us/realsense/product-listing?f[101]=field_pa_category%3A217&cam=all-cam

Maybe cos the list of devices supporting RealSense is not many.
Lenovo ThinkPad* Yoga 15 (15”)
Lenovo ThinkPad* E550 (15”)
Dell Inspiron* 15 5548 (15”)
Asus N551JQ* (15")
ASUS ROG G771JM* (17”)
Asus X751LD* (17”)
Acer Aspire* V 17 Nitro (17”)
Lenovo* B5030
Dell Inspiron* 23" 7000
HP Sprout*

Some cool uses for Intel RealSense tech:

-Motion Capture which captures all your facial movements and expressions. Good for avatars?

- 3D scanning using HP Sprout
Can Dell Inspirion 7000 do this too ?

- Holographic Piano-Playing

Details and videos here.

Dell 24” monitor 950pts: 22days, on the 23th day to get 4pts for the day

Dell Power Companion 900pts: 20days, on the 21st day to get 40pts for the day

1TB external HDD 850pts: 19days, on the 20th day get 33pts for the day

Sigh I would probably just settle for the 1TB external HDD or blurtooth speaker. The top few are just too hard for me.

If lucky, may be coming Sitex you can try their Intel RealSense Cemera with Intel RealSense technology....;)

Based on the list I found, looks like I have to visit the Dell, Asus, Lenovo, HP and Acer booths to try out Intel RealSense tech. Are the rest as stylish and slim like the Dell Inspirion 7000 ?
