Do we really need specific games to test Intel RealSense 3D Camera and Window 10 Hello for Dell Inspiron 24 7000 ?!

yes as it seems only a handful of games can use Intel RealSense 3D Camera with Intel RealSense Technology.

The 3D Camera is the best so far for Windows 10 Hello as not only can you use Windows 10 feature, you can use it for other purposes like gaming, making videos with green screen and Oculus headset for VR uses etc.

Not saying SSD not good, knowing it is lighter and more stable than conventional HDD, but we are able to get bigger capacity for HDD over SSD based on the same price, people tend to choose HDD when price and storage concern arise. ..

it makes more sense to use hdd if you dun mind slower boot time and there is no strong magnet around your pc case. you are also able to get bigger capacity. but then ssd has faster boot time and low failure rate.

Will need to give a try on Inspiron 24 7000 and Inspiron 15 7000 then decide if which is the right one.

if its just school project then Dell XPS 13 or 15 is enough unless he/she want to try Intel RealSense 3D camera with Windows 10 Hello.

I think a Dell Inspiron 24 7000 setup in school is good for interactive learning.

For me, FHD is good enough for normal daily use, we really not able to notice the different between FHD vs 4K UHD in such 17~15 monitor screen.

Choose what we really need otherwise it will be a waste for not utilize the feature.

Currently there is not option for Inspiron 15 7000 to include Intel RealSense 3D Camera Technology, perhaps Dell will launch this model in near future.

I doubt so, it maybe added in to their latest models instead.

This 4K technology just like fashion, it was like a trend where 'in' item that drive people to buy it, so people ask about it, can be haolian a bit...

Of coz 4K screen can give us clearer pictures and more details but these all really not a matter for normal watching...

I think many would lose the 4K screen for longer battery life and cheaper price. However i also feel students today are exposed to the high ppi handphone screens that some may want to continue the same experience on their laptops.

Laptops over the years have gone down in pricing with better processing power, but the screen quality always remained poor. Even in expensive gaming laptops they started to use as standard good quality IPS 1080p screen a year ago.

Dell Inspiron 15 7000 with 4K IPS touch screen is a first move to bring high quality screen to an affordable range while still packing powerful computing. Buyers on the look out for a new laptop may like what they see on this model since i do not see an alternative model to Dell's yet.

Yes Dell Inspirion 15 7000 is targeted at gamers who need power gaming performance, a bigger screen but would not mind a heavier laptop.

Yes, gaming laptop tend to put out more heat too.

I don't think there is an option to add Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera for Dell Inspiron 15 7000. If one prefer to have the Intel® RealSense™ 3D Camera, then one would have to opt for Dell Inspiron 24 7000 and you can also use Windows 10 Hello.

The camera and internal mechanism need to change for any laptop design, thus newer models then can consider the camera.

yup i agree.

so most probably what i will do is get a small cap SSD M2 to boot as OS, and a 1TB 2.5" HDD for my data.

if only 1 slot tho, i will go for just HDD.

Portability is a main concern, so most likely may choose Inspiron 15 7000 over Inspiron 24 7000, it will be good if Dell able to include Intel® RealSense™ so that we can experience Windows 10 Hello, not now but may be in near future.

The full black-red logo Inspiron 15 7000 looks nice and stealthy too. I may prefer it to the full red one. I have touched the actual unit of this Inspiron soft-rubber design, it feels more premium than the usual plastic casing ones. I think the rubber adds some more rigidity to the structure.

HWZ going to post any stress test video on Dell Inspirion 15 7000 ? Like roll over by a car wheel, 1m height drop, laptop in high heat or water resistance feature~

That sounded more like a "will it bend" test you see in youtubes where they will do all kind of crazy things to a new product to get viewerships

I think for the Dell, they will test how durable the Inpiron 15 7000 screen hinge is, how many key-press it can take, how many clicks the track-pad can handle, how long the dual chamber cooling system can handle heat before throttle, how spill resistance it is.

I find screen hinge is a first sign if you think a laptop is well build. Dell screen hinge opens up with bold solidity even for their cheaper models.

Dell's hinge still feels inferior to my old Sony VAIO.... But much better than my Acer...
