What do you mean by "Alienware allows consumer to upgrade their graphic card in the Alienware Graphics Amplifier it will be really great."?
There is no graphics card included in the Alienware Graphics Amplifier. You have to purchase your own graphics card and slot it in the slot available then connect it to the PSU of the Amplifier. The laptop graphics card will be disable and the graphics card in the Amplifier will do the work.

Yes buyers have to purchase their own graphics card for the Alienware Graphics Amplifier. Maybe if Dell allows options for adding graphics card it will be good for the buyer.

Why not? If I am rich, I might get those laptops which are lighter.
The weight of the laptop is definitely lighter and less bulky than Alienware laptop + Graphics Amplifier.

None of which will be light enough to test your tolerance, no matter how rich you gonna be. I loathed lugging my 2+ kg mainstream laptop around. Let alone even the lightest one, which still already past 3 kg. Ouch!

And I am certain that you are not going to play game all the time out of home. You are going to carry extra weight (consequently) from the extra performance if you were to get those GTX 980M / SLI laptops, yet you are not going to need this sort of high performance all the time.

So why not opt for more flexibility to leave the extra burden in the form of Graphics Amplifier at home and get a weaker, yet adequately performing and (hence) much lighter laptop for outdoor purpose? It is wiser that to do away leaving the extra burden at home and reduce the unnecessary performance and (hence) weight you bring out.

With a smaller, lower-end Alienware notebook + Graphics Amplifier, you can bring it anywhere at greater convenience. Plug it into the Graphics Amplifier when you are back at home, sitting on the desk as you are highly unlikely to move around anywhere inside home with that notebook.

Rich buyers can be smarter too.

Hmm... Nah I rather build my own... Of course the Dell Alienware 17 R3 + Graphics Amplifier cannot compare with desktop...

But the Area-51 I really dislike the fact that it does not let us opt-OUT (factory) of getting the Office 2016, crappy McAfee software... SSD only up to 512GB... Wireless still using the old Intel 7260..

not really worth to buy Area-51, just get Alienware 17 plus Alienware Graphics Amplifier. those softwares can be uninstalled.

Or the alienware 15 which can be configured to have similarly powerful gaming specs as the alienware 17 but you get that slightly more compact size and portability. Alienware powerful dual chamber cooling is work well even on a 15" laptop

The Graphics Amplifier is probably only for rich people who want more options for their Alienware laptop.

For those who want to have the best gaming experience and Alienware laptop with Graphics Amplifier are the ones which can provide them with good graphics as well as good sound quality.

A lot of people play using controller on their PC too.

Touchscreen should make it optional for the Alienware laptop. Yes, most people may not need it but it still has its uses. I play Clash of Clans on my PC, so having a touchscreen would be very helpful.

Cause play on my phone will not have slow performance, somemore if I want to record a bit difficult. Play on PC can get 60fps powerful performance with emulator, can zoom out still see everything clearly too. Laptop also have long battery life compared to phone. Dont need to keep charging.

There is an option to add touchscreen to Alienware laptop and together with Graphics Amplifier will give you the ultimate gaming experience. You can get 120fps as shown in Tomb Raider demo.

Dell Alienware 17 R3 to use the Dell Graphics Amplifier... I don't think they are the first!

Dell and MSI merely borrowed the idea over to use in Windows-based laptops.

yea, if not will be even more limited, but dunno next gen gpu dunno will become what size and power consumption...

Only certain height GPU can fit the Alienware Graphics Amplifier. Next Gen GPU should be made smaller and with better cooling system.

I wouldn't buy the Alienware Graphics Amplifier since I don't really need that much graphics juice but I might buy the Alienware 15 or 17 R3 laptop. It is a good laptop in my opinion.
