Yes.

As such, I think it is a pretty good investment for current or future owners of the Alienware laptops as they can enjoy high performance gaming on the newest graphic cards.

You can see that the word "Home" is mentioned multiple times in the site above.

Actually i dont mind it a bit larger, as long as it will be able to fit new graphic cards.

I wouldnt want to run to the store happily, buy the latest high performance gaming card and realise it wont be able to fit due to physical size constraint.

mmm... actually I hope that future gpu can be smaller and more efficient. Now getting abit too extreme

Its good for gaming la. Play with friends games like CS:GO or DOTA 2 should be able to run max settings even without the Alienware Graphics Amplifier. Those games dont really require high performance cards. That is the whole point of portability and mobility.

I also prefer desktop for gaming. Having a bigger screen is always better for gaming.

Yes I prefer desktop for gaming too. The Dell Inspirion 15 7000 would be good enough for me. Alienware series is too expensive and overkill for me.

I think only alienware 13 met my criteria for gaming on the move with a 13.3" screen. Hardcore gaming, would preferred desktop like the Alienware Alpha and at home.

I think most gamers play at home using their powerful gaming desktops. Maybe only rich ppl buy Alienware laptops and bring them to each other's houses for gaming sessions.

But one thing for sure, it was a silly invention for a laptop, since is a powerful gaming portable unit, why do we still need an external driver unit that was not powered by a battery?

The cost of these gaming laptop already at sky high prices for average citizens~

But a problem if you DIY upgrade may void the Dell warranty.

I guess most would just settle for Dell Inspiron 17 7000 for the 4K UHD touchscreen for added feature.

Msi is called gaming dock but based on the date released, i would say Alienware is the first one to release their Graphics Amplifier.

I think a lot of people don't know about this good lobang so might as well post it here to raise awareness. Can spend the extra $ on choosing better option upgrading your Alienware laptop.

Doesnt come free but the darn trial comes with it

Yes they can be uninstalled, potentially leaving registry traces behind... So you need to format to be sure. I believe Dell makes a profit bundling them... Does Dell Alienware 17 R3 come with these bloatware too?
