Hi guys,

Just wondering can anyone share your experience on this? How are LG phones nowadays? Is it durable. I am looking to recontract this month. Currently using a galaxy S2 which gives me no problem at all for the past 2 years.

Currently considering the LG Pro 2 and Note 3. Frankly speaking I am attracted by the cheaper pricing of the LG Pro but i am wondering if about the durability and the kind of customer service support that LG provides

Also is the LG Pro 2 easy on the hand? One reason I choose Note 3 is because it is still easy to handle :)

read thru the thread lor..hardly see any major issues with this phone and quite a few of us hopped to this phone from note 3.

long run i think note 3 will still fetch higher value but i prefer LG's UI and design, esp the knock code.

service center is ok cos not many LG users compared to other brands, hence shorter waiting time.

However, only 1 center which people in the east may find it a hassle to go all the way to the west to repair.

If you're comparing Samsung with LG in terms of durability - let's put it this way.... Samsung is plastic. LG is plastic. So to me no difference.

Note 3 and G Pro 2 are very similar in terms of size, and since I used Spigen case for both again about the same. Find LG optical quality stunning for a smartphone. To me this is important because I dislike carrying another camera to take pictures. Note 3 pics I never liked.

I work near the LG service centre, so not a problem. :D

Also this is an LG forum, so what do you think we would recommend ;)

Okay!

From S2 to Pro 2 or Note 3?

It is a tricky question but yet a very easy choice minus all the pros and cons! No handphone is perfect.:)

Functionalities wise:
I was a Note 3 user for 4 months before coming to term with Pro 2 now!

If you think that you fancy the S Pen functionality of Note 3 and think that you will use the S Pen, take Note 3. (I'm not a bias guy even though I'm holding Pro 2 now).:s8:

Performance wise:
Pro 2 is snappier, smoother than Note 3 overall! However, you can't tell much of a difference in normal practical usage.

UIs wise:
Pro 2 has to be the winner due to less bloatware and "thinner" but well performed UIs overlay over the TouchWiz of Note 3.

OSB - (On Screen Button) of Pro 2 v Capacitive button of Note 3:
With screen size that big, be it 5.7" of Note 3 or 5.9" of Pro 2, OSB wins hands down for easy reach and configarable OSB keys to suit your hand operation pattern! No doubt about it! Don't forget that we press those buttons more often than any other icons on the display.

"Production date" & "Expiry Date":
Note 3 is an old product of almost 7 months old whereas Pro 2 is a new product! It's just not worth to buy an old product of 7 months old even though it is still a good phone! Expiry date for moble phone now is after 1 year since newer models comes yearly now.

If you were to buy a Note, it is wiser to wait and buy the upcoming Note 4 instead comes September 2014.

Last but not least! You have been so used to TouchWiz of Samsung, you need to get use to a totally new UI of LG phone. There are pros and cons on both UI. It is a matter of time getting use to it and work around with the pros and cons.

So, again! If you think you will use S Pen and don't mind a 7 months old product, then take Note 3. S Pen is awesome and useful, I have to admit that! If you think that you will not use the S Pen, take Pro 2. No doubt about it.

Cheers! :s22:

To be frank, if there isn't any Pro 2. I'm sticking to Note 3 for sure because Note 3 is still a top notch phone. ;)

However, I rarely use the S Pen. ;)

I have a few questions to ask:

1) Is the battery life okay?

2) Will it auto wake when there is SMS or whatsapp msg?

3) Is it Made in Korea?

4) How long does it take for full charge?

Thank u.

1. Compare to my Nokia, the Gpro battery life is no good coz my Nokia can last a week.

2. If you turn off the phone, SMS or whatsapp or whatever happens, the phone will not auto wake up.

3. Yes it is.

4. Depends on what you charge it with. Wall charger 1A or Wall Charger 2A or Portable charger 1A or Portable charger 2A.

For video call. Install Tango from PlaySore.

That's the most popular video call app on Android. ;)

Most Android users have it installed for video call. ;)
