LG G3 wireless charging design is not very good. It works best without additional casing. Even with some casing as thin as 2mm will encounter problems charging wirelessly. You can also try using a third party wireless charger and you will yield the same results.

Not entirely true. My case is at least 5mm thick and I have no problem charging it wireless using the LG wireless charger.

I have been cautious not to upgrade to newer firmware (10e & now 10g) as I've been hearing one or two complaints, while my original (10b) is working just fine.

However, 2 days ago, it suddenly shut down and couldn't be powered up until I removed the battery then I re-started. Since then no issue. So, no hurry to update to 10g.

In this context, iOS is the best, once Apple received complaint about buggy new release, they will release a newer version pretty soon. Not sure it's fair to compare iOS and Android releases vis-a-vis handset firmware update. For my Samsung S3 experience, they ignored the complaints and the users have to live with it through out the device lifespan. Similarly for Note2 last Android upgrade.

Hopefully LG care more.

go iOS then. take note that the g3 has been out for less than two months, and look how many firmware updates LG has been churning out alr.

I bought the red. Both red and purple aren't the most beautiful look. The phone is small and feels small. Like the ui actually. Its considered quite small as my last phone is note 3. No problems of autoshut down before or after upgrade which is likely the red and purple r the lastest batch. No hanging or lag. The onli complaint i have is the phone is hard to read under sunlight. Samsung has done better in this area.

Did/do you own a S5? I did. And LG G3 beats S5. Even in one-hand operation, etc. And the lag, omg. Anyway not gonna reply further lest i fan some trolls' hunger.

looks small and is small... means you have been owning only galaxy notes for your past few phones? as compared to s5/htc one/z2 i think the g3 is comparable or bigger than them leh

My phones r note 1. Note 2. Note 3. Ultra z.
This is the smallest among them. Have big hands, prefer bigger phones. Looks like 5.5 inch is the way to go. Note 3 is likely to be 5.5 inch. The one hand operation for g3 is good.

It makes samsung over rated now. Samsung have been rushing phones without any improvements. I think the staturation point of the handphones r here. Most of the android and ios will be around the function except the horrendous windows phone (i bought 1 before)...

Transfer of whatsapp contents

Hi,

Does anyone knows any simple way to transfer my whatsapp msgs to the G3? Previously on Z2 and i tried following the steps provided in the whatsapp settings but not all msgs were transferred. The contents of those transferred were group chats and even that, the msgs were also missing. :s11::s11::s11:

Open File Explorer, copy WhatsApp folder to your SD card or PC. Then transfer to your new phone and run Whatsapp set up.
